From the Desert of Kedemoth I sent messengers to Sihon king of Heshbon offering peace and saying,

I sent messengers from the Desert of Kedemoth. I told them to go to Sihon, the king of Heshbon. They offered him peace. They said,

雅杂、基底莫、米法押、

进他家时，要向那家请安。那家若配得平安，你们所求的平安就临到那家；若不配得，你们所求的平安仍归你们。凡不接待你们，不听你们话的人，你们离开那家，或是那城的时候，要跺掉你们脚上的尘土。我实在告诉你们，在审判的日子，所多玛和蛾摩拉地方所受的，比那城还容易受呢！”

基底莫和城的郊外，以及米法押和城的郊外，共四座城。

无论进哪一家，先要说：‘愿这一家平安。’那里若有当得平安的人，你们所求的平安就必临到那家，不然，将归还你们。

无论进哪一城，人若不接待你们，你们就到大街上去，说：‘就是你们城里的尘土粘在我们的脚上，我们也当着你们擦去。但是，你们该知道神的国临近了。’我告诉你们，在那日子，所多玛所受的，比那城还容易受呢！”

“你来到一座城，要攻城之前，先向它宣告和平。那城若愿意以和平回应，给你开城，城里所有的人就要为你做苦工，服事你。
