Then I sent messengers from the Kedemoth Desert to King Sihon of Heshbon with an offer of peace:

From the Desert of Kedemoth I sent messengers to Sihon king of Heshbon offering peace and saying,

I sent messengers from the Desert of Kedemoth. I told them to go to Sihon, the king of Heshbon. They offered him peace. They said,

“ So I sent messengers from the wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon the king of Heshbon, with words of peace, saying,

Moses continued,“ From the wilderness of Kedemoth I sent ambassadors to King Sihon of Heshbon with this proposal of peace:

“ So I sent messengers with an offer of peace to Sihon king of Heshbon from the Wilderness of Kedemoth, saying,

Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,

As you enter the house, give it greetings.And if the house is worthy, let your peace come on it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.And if anyone will not welcome you or listen to your message, shake the dust off your feet as you leave that house or that town.I tell you the truth, it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town!

Kedemoth, and Mephaath, along with the grazing areas of each– a total of four cities;

Letters were sent to all the Jews in the hundred and twenty-seven provinces of the empire of Ahasuerus– words of true peace–

Whenever you enter a house, first say,‘ May peace be on this house!’And if a peace- loving person is there, your peace will remain on him, but if not, it will return to you.

But whenever you enter a town and the people do not welcome you, go into its streets and say,‘ Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this: The kingdom of God has come.’I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town!

When you approach a city to wage war against it, offer it terms of peace.If it accepts your terms and submits to you, all the people found in it will become your slaves.
