“ Set out now and cross the Arnon Gorge. See, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his country. Begin to take possession of it and engage him in battle.

The Lord said,“ Start out and go across the valley of the Arnon River. I have handed Sihon over to you. He is the Amorite king of Heshbon. I have also given you his country. Begin to take it as your own. Go to war against him.

‘ Rise up, set out on your journey and go over the Valley of the Arnon. Behold, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Begin to take possession, and contend with him in battle.

Moses continued,“ Then the Lord said,‘ Now get moving! Cross the Arnon Gorge. Look, I will hand over to you Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and I will give you his land. Attack him and begin to occupy the land.

“ The LORD also said,‘ Get up, move out, and cross the Arnon Valley. See, I have handed the Amorites’ King Sihon of Heshbon and his land over to you. Begin to take possession of it; engage him in battle.

‘ Arise, set out, and pass through the Valley of Arnon. Look! I have handed over to you Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land; start taking possession and plunge into battle with him.

“‘ Rise, take your journey, and cross over the River Arnon. Look, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Begin to possess it, and engage him in battle.

Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the valley of the Arnon: behold, I have given into thy hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land; begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.

Get up, make your way across Wadi Arnon. Look! I have already delivered over to you Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Go ahead! Take it! Engage him in war!

到了第七次，祭司吹角的時候，約書亞對百姓說：「呼喊吧，因為耶和華已經把城交給你們了！

他們又經過曠野，繞過以東地和摩押地，到摩押地的東邊，在亞嫩河邊安營，並沒有進入摩押的境內，因為亞嫩河是摩押的邊界。以色列派使者去亞摩利王，就是希實本王西宏那裏；以色列對他說：『求你讓我們穿越你的地，到我自己的地方去。』西宏卻不信任以色列，不讓他們穿越他的疆界。他召集了他的眾百姓在雅雜安營，與以色列爭戰。耶和華－以色列的上帝將西宏和他的眾百姓都交在以色列手中，以色列人就擊殺他們，佔領了那地居民亞摩利人的全地。

世人和走獸，並天空的飛鳥，不論居住何處，他都交在你的手中，令你掌管這一切。你就是那金的頭。

從那裏再起行，安營在亞嫩河的另一邊。這亞嫩河在曠野，從亞摩利人的境內流出來；亞嫩河是摩押的邊界，在摩押和亞摩利人之間。所以《耶和華的戰記》中提到：「蘇法的哇哈伯，亞嫩河谷，以及亞珥地區眾河床的斜坡，都靠近摩押的邊境。」

我將埃及地賜給他，犒賞他，因他們為我效勞。這是主耶和華說的。

我用大能和伸出來的膀臂創造大地和地上的人民、牲畜。我看給誰合適，就把地給誰。

這是眾守望者所發的命令，是眾聖者所作的決定，好叫世人知道至高者在人的國中掌權，要將國賜給誰就賜給誰，並且立極卑微的人執掌國權。』

從亞嫩谷旁的亞羅珥和谷中的城，直到基列，沒有一座城是高得我們不能攻取的；耶和華－我們的上帝把它們全都交給我們了。
