行近亞捫族、勿以之為敵、勿與戰爭、我不以亞捫族之地賜爾為業、因已賜之羅得子孫為業、○

When you come to the Ammonites, do not harass them or provoke them to war, for I will not give you possession of any land belonging to the Ammonites. I have given it as a possession to the descendants of Lot.”

When you come to the Ammonites, do not attack them. Do not make them angry. If you do, they will go to war against you. I will not give you any of their land as your own. I have given it to the people in the family line of Lot. I have given it to them as their own.”

And when you approach the territory of the people of Ammon, do not harass them or contend with them, for I will not give you any of the land of the people of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to the sons of Lot for a possession.’

and enter the land of the Ammonites, the descendants of Lot. But do not bother them or start a war with them. I have given the land of Ammon to them as their property, and I will not give you any of their land.’”

When you get close to the Ammonites, don’t show any hostility to them or provoke them, for I will not give you any of the Ammonites’ land as a possession; I have given it as a possession to the descendants of Lot.’”

When you come opposite the sons of Ammon, do not attack them nor provoke them, for I will not give you any of the land of the sons of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to the sons of Lot as a possession.’

And when you come near the people of Ammon, do not harass them or meddle with them, for I will not give you any of the land of the people of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to the descendants of Lot as a possession.’”

and when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, vex them not, nor contend with them; for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon for a possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession.

耶和華諭我曰、勿擾摩押人、與之戰爭、其地非爾所得、蓋我以亞耳賜羅得後裔為業。

羅得二女、由此懷妊、長女生子、命名摩押、為摩押族之祖。季女亦生子、命名便亞米、為亞捫族之祖。

勿與戰爭、即其尺土、我不汝給、乃以西耳山賜以掃為業。

昔以色列族、出埃及時、謹守爾命、過亞捫摩押、西耳之地、不侵伐之、不翦滅之、

亞捫族之王告其使者曰、以色列族出埃及時、奪我土地、自亞嫩至雅泊、及約但、今以斯土反我、則兵可罷。耶弗大復遣厥使、告亞捫族之王曰、耶弗大云摩押與亞捫族之地、以色列族未嘗奪之。初以色列族出埃及、經紅海、過曠野、至迦鐵、遣使告以東王曰、盍容我過爾境。以東王不允、復遣使至摩押王、告以是言、亦不允、故以色列族居於迦鐵。遂巡曠野、環以東摩押境、至摩押東隅、建營於亞嫩外、不入其國、蓋摩押以亞嫩為界。以色列族遣使告都希實本之亞摩哩王西宏、曰、盍容我過爾境、以歸我土。西宏不許、乃集眾民、建營雅哈斯、與以色列族戰。以色列族之上帝耶和華、以西宏及其人民付於以色列族手、使之攻擊、據有其地。得亞摩哩境、自亞嫩至雅泊、自曠野至約但。是則使民得亞摩哩人之地者、乃以色列族之上帝耶和華也、爾豈能得斯土乎。爾之上帝基抹錫爾之地、爾可得之、我之上帝耶和華錫我之地、我亦得之、昔摩押王西撥子巴勒、未嘗攻以色列族、與之戰鬥、爾豈愈於彼乎。以色列族嘗居希實本與其鄉里、亞囉耳與其鄉里、沿亞嫩諸邑、歷三百年、當此之時、爾何不拯其邑乎。乃我未嘗獲罪於爾、爾反攻我、殊悖於理。夫鞫人之是非者耶和華也、今在以色列族亞捫族間、願彼折中之。
