近亞捫族、勿擾之、勿與戰、其地我不爾予、蓋我已賜羅得子孫為業、

行近亞捫族、勿擾之、勿與戰爭、其地非汝所得、蓋我以之錫羅得後裔為業。

行近亞捫族、勿以之為敵、勿與戰爭、我不以亞捫族之地賜爾為業、因已賜之羅得子孫為業、○

When you come to the Ammonites, do not harass them or provoke them to war, for I will not give you possession of any land belonging to the Ammonites. I have given it as a possession to the descendants of Lot.”

When you come to the Ammonites, do not attack them. Do not make them angry. If you do, they will go to war against you. I will not give you any of their land as your own. I have given it to the people in the family line of Lot. I have given it to them as their own.”

And when you approach the territory of the people of Ammon, do not harass them or contend with them, for I will not give you any of the land of the people of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to the sons of Lot for a possession.’

and enter the land of the Ammonites, the descendants of Lot. But do not bother them or start a war with them. I have given the land of Ammon to them as their property, and I will not give you any of their land.’”

When you get close to the Ammonites, don’t show any hostility to them or provoke them, for I will not give you any of the Ammonites’ land as a possession; I have given it as a possession to the descendants of Lot.’”

When you come opposite the sons of Ammon, do not attack them nor provoke them, for I will not give you any of the land of the sons of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to the sons of Lot as a possession.’

And when you come near the people of Ammon, do not harass them or meddle with them, for I will not give you any of the land of the people of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to the descendants of Lot as a possession.’”

and when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, vex them not, nor contend with them; for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon for a possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession.

And[ when] thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon[ any] possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot[ for] a possession.

耶和華對我說：『不可侵犯摩押，也不可向他們挑戰。他們的地，我不賜給你為業，因我已將亞珥賜給羅得的子孫為業。』

這樣，羅得的兩個女兒都從她們的父親懷了孕。大女兒生了兒子，給他起名叫摩押，就是現今摩押人的始祖。小女兒也生了兒子，給他起名叫便‧亞米，就是現今亞捫人的始祖。

不可向他們挑戰；他們的地，連腳掌可踏之處，我都不給你們，因我已將西珥山賜給以掃為業。

現在，看哪，以色列人出埃及地的時候，你不容許以色列人侵犯亞捫人、摩押人和西珥山人，以色列人就離開他們，不滅絕他們。

亞捫人的王對耶弗他的使者說：「因為以色列從埃及上來的時候佔據我的地，從亞嫩河到雅博河，直到約旦河。現在你要和平歸還這些地方！」耶弗他又派使者到亞捫人的王那裏，對他說：「耶弗他如此說：以色列並沒有佔據摩押地和亞捫人的地。以色列人從埃及上來，是經過曠野到紅海，來到加低斯。那時，以色列派使者去以東王那裏，說：『求你讓我穿越你的地。』以東王卻不聽。以色列又照樣派使者去摩押王那裏，他也不肯。於是以色列人就住在加低斯。他們又經過曠野，繞過以東地和摩押地，到摩押地的東邊，在亞嫩河邊安營，並沒有進入摩押的境內，因為亞嫩河是摩押的邊界。以色列派使者去亞摩利王，就是希實本王西宏那裏；以色列對他說：『求你讓我們穿越你的地，到我自己的地方去。』西宏卻不信任以色列，不讓他們穿越他的疆界。他召集了他的眾百姓在雅雜安營，與以色列爭戰。耶和華－以色列的上帝將西宏和他的眾百姓都交在以色列手中，以色列人就擊殺他們，佔領了那地居民亞摩利人的全地。他們佔領了亞摩利人所有的疆土，從亞嫩河到雅博河，從曠野直到約旦河。耶和華－以色列的上帝如今從他百姓以色列面前趕出亞摩利人，你竟要佔領它嗎？你不是已經得了你的神明基抹賜給你的地為業嗎？耶和華－我們的上帝在我們面前所趕出的，我們也要得它為業。現在你比西撥的兒子摩押王巴勒還強嗎？他真的曾與以色列爭執，或是真的與他們爭戰了嗎？以色列人住希實本和所屬的鄉鎮，亞羅珥和所屬的鄉鎮，以及沿着亞嫩河的一切城鎮，已經有三百年了。在這期間，你們為甚麼不取回呢？我並沒有得罪你，你卻要攻打我，加害於我。願審判人的耶和華今日在以色列人和亞捫人之間判斷是非。」
