近亞捫族、勿擾之、勿與戰、其地我不爾予、蓋我已賜羅得子孫為業、

行近亞捫族、勿擾之、勿與戰爭、其地非汝所得、蓋我以之錫羅得後裔為業。

行近亞捫族、勿以之為敵、勿與戰爭、我不以亞捫族之地賜爾為業、因已賜之羅得子孫為業、○

When you come to the Ammonites, do not harass them or provoke them to war, for I will not give you possession of any land belonging to the Ammonites. I have given it as a possession to the descendants of Lot.”

When you come to the Ammonites, do not attack them. Do not make them angry. If you do, they will go to war against you. I will not give you any of their land as your own. I have given it to the people in the family line of Lot. I have given it to them as their own.”

And when you approach the territory of the people of Ammon, do not harass them or contend with them, for I will not give you any of the land of the people of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to the sons of Lot for a possession.’

and enter the land of the Ammonites, the descendants of Lot. But do not bother them or start a war with them. I have given the land of Ammon to them as their property, and I will not give you any of their land.’”

When you get close to the Ammonites, don’t show any hostility to them or provoke them, for I will not give you any of the Ammonites’ land as a possession; I have given it as a possession to the descendants of Lot.’”

When you come opposite the sons of Ammon, do not attack them nor provoke them, for I will not give you any of the land of the sons of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to the sons of Lot as a possession.’

And when you come near the people of Ammon, do not harass them or meddle with them, for I will not give you any of the land of the people of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to the descendants of Lot as a possession.’”

and when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, vex them not, nor contend with them; for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon for a possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession.

耶和華對我說：‘你不可敵視摩押人，也不可與他們爭戰；他們的地我不賜給你作產業，因為我已經把亞珥賜給了羅得的子孫作產業。

這樣，羅得的兩個女兒，都從她們的父親懷了孕。大女兒生了一個兒子，給他起名叫摩押，就是現在摩押人的始祖。小女兒也生了一個兒子，給他起名叫便．亞米，就是現在亞捫人的始祖。

不要與他們爭執；他們的地，連腳掌那麼大的一塊，我都不給你們，因為我已經把西珥山賜給以掃作產業。

現在這裡有亞捫人、摩押人和西珥山的人，從前以色列人從埃及地出來的時候，你不許以色列人侵犯他們。那時，以色列人就離開了他們，不除滅他們。

亞捫人的王對耶弗他的使者說：“因以色列人從埃及上來的時候，奪了我的土地，從亞嫩河到雅博河，直到約旦河；現在你要把它和和平平地交還。”耶弗他又再派使者去見亞捫人的王，對他說：“耶弗他這樣說：‘以色列人並沒有奪取過摩押地和亞捫人的土地。以色列人從埃及上來的時候，是走過曠野到紅海，到了加低斯；就派遣使者去見以東王，說：求你讓我們經過你的領土。以東王卻不答應；又派遣使者去見摩押王，摩押王也不肯；以色列人就住在加低斯。以後，他們走過曠野，繞過以東地和摩押地，到了摩押地的東邊，在亞嫩河那邊安營；他們並沒有進入摩押境內，因為亞嫩河是摩押的邊界。以色列人又派遣使者去見亞摩利人的王西宏，就是希實本王，對他說：求你讓我們經過你的領土，到我們自己的地方去。西宏卻不信任以色列人，不讓他們經過他的境界；西宏聚集了他所有的人民，在雅雜安營，與以色列人爭戰。耶和華以色列的神，把西宏和他所有的人民都交在以色列人手中，以色列人擊殺了他們，奪取了住在那地的亞摩利人的全地，佔領了亞摩利人四周的境界，從亞嫩河到雅博河，從曠野直到約旦河。現在耶和華以色列的神，已經把亞摩利人從他的子民以色列人面前趕走了，你竟要佔有這地嗎？你不是應佔有你的神基抹要你佔有的地嗎？我們不是應佔有耶和華我們的神，從我們面前趕走的人的一切地嗎？現在難道你比摩押王西撥的兒子巴勒還強嗎？他曾經與以色列人爭競嗎？或是與以色列人交戰過嗎？以色列人住在希實本和屬希實本的村鎮，亞羅珥和亞羅珥的村鎮，以及亞嫩河沿岸的一切城市，已經有三百年了；在這時期內，你們為甚麼沒有奪回這些地方呢？我沒有得罪你，你竟惡待我，攻打我；願審判者耶和華今日在以色列人和亞捫人中間，判斷是非。’”
