This is the case of the man slayer who shall flee there and live: Whoever kills his neighbor unintentionally, and didn’t hate him in time past—

“误杀人的逃到那里可以存活，定例乃是这样：凡素无仇恨，无心杀了人的，

“杀人的逃到那里得以存活的案例是这样：凡素无仇恨，无意中杀了邻舍的，

“杀人的逃到那里得以存活的案例是这样：凡素无仇恨，无意中杀了邻舍的，

“如果有人无意间杀了素无冤仇的同伴，他可以逃往避难城，以保住性命。

“误杀人的逃到那里，就可以存活，规例是这样：无意杀了人，彼此又素无仇恨的，

「誤殺人的逃到那裏可以存活，定例乃是這樣：凡素無仇恨，無心殺了人的，

「殺人的逃到那裏得以存活的案例是這樣：凡素無仇恨，無意中殺了鄰舍的，

「殺人的逃到那裏得以存活的案例是這樣：凡素無仇恨，無意中殺了鄰舍的，

「如果有人無意間殺了素無冤仇的同伴，他可以逃往避難城，以保住性命。

“誤殺人的逃到那裡，就可以存活，規例是這樣：無意殺了人，彼此又素無仇恨的，

『錯誤殺人的、其規例乃是這樣：凡不知不覺、素來沒有仇恨、擊殺鄰舍的人、得以逃到那裏，就可以活着。

誤殺人者遁於彼而得生、有定例焉、素無仇怨、而誤殺人、

殺人者遁於彼、全其餘生、亦有定例、凡無讎怨、誤傷人命、

殺人者遁於彼、保全生命、有其定例、素與人無仇怨、誤中殺人、

This is the rule concerning anyone who kills a person and flees there for safety— anyone who kills a neighbor unintentionally, without malice aforethought.

Here is the rule about a person who kills someone. That person can run to one of those cities for safety. The rule applies to anyone who kills a neighbor they didn’t hate and didn’t mean to kill.

“ This is the provision for the manslayer, who by fleeing there may save his life. If anyone kills his neighbor unintentionally without having hated him in the past—

“ If someone kills another person unintentionally, without previous hostility, the slayer may flee to any of these cities to live in safety.

“ Here is the law concerning a case of someone who kills a person and flees there to save his life, having killed his neighbor accidentally without previously hating him:

“ Now this is the case of the one who commits manslaughter, who may flee there and live: when he kills his friend unintentionally, not hating him previously—

“ And this is the case of the manslayer who flees there, that he may live: Whoever kills his neighbor unintentionally, not having hated him in time past—

And this is the case of the manslayer, that shall flee thither and live: whoso killeth his neighbor unawares, and hated him not in time past;

“ Here is the law concerning a case of someone who kills a person and flees there to save his life, having killed his neighbor accidentally without previously hating him:

And this[ is] the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past;

Now this is the law pertaining to one who flees there in order to live, if he has accidentally killed another without hating him at the time of the accident.

For the children of Israel, and for the stranger and for the foreigner living among them, shall these six cities be for refuge, that everyone who kills any person unwittingly may flee there.“‘ But if he struck him with an instrument of iron, so that he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall surely be put to death.If he struck him with a stone in the hand, by which a man may die, and he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall surely be put to death.Or if he struck him with a weapon of wood in the hand, by which a man may die, and he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall surely be put to death.The avenger of blood shall himself put the murderer to death. When he meets him, he shall put him to death.If he shoved him out of hatred, or hurled something at him while lying in wait, so that he died,or in hostility struck him with his hand, so that he died, he who struck him shall surely be put to death. He is a murderer. The avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death when he meets him.“‘ But if he shoved him suddenly without hostility, or hurled on him anything without lying in wait,or with any stone, by which a man may die, not seeing him, and cast it on him so that he died, and he was not his enemy and not seeking his harm,then the congregation shall judge between the striker and the avenger of blood according to these ordinances.

that the man slayer might flee there, who kills his neighbor unintentionally and didn’t hate him in time past, and that fleeing to one of these cities he might live:

Yet there shall be a space between you and it of about two thousand cubits by measure— don’t come closer to it— that you may know the way by which you must go; for you have not passed this way before.”

For his burning place has long been ready. Yes, for the king it is prepared. He has made its pyre deep and large with fire and much wood. Yahweh’s breath, like a stream of sulfur, kindles it.

In times past, even when Saul was king, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. Yahweh your God said to you,‘ You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall be prince over my people Israel.’”

Jacob saw the expression on Laban’s face, and, behold, it was not toward him as before.

Otherwise, the avenger of blood might pursue the man slayer while hot anger is in his heart and overtake him, because the way is long, and strike him mortally, even though he was not worthy of death, because he didn’t hate him in time past.
