“ But if anyone hates his neighbor and lies in wait for him and attacks him and strikes him fatally so that he dies, and he flees into one of these cities,

But if out of hate someone lies in wait, assaults and kills a neighbor, and then flees to one of these cities,

But suppose a man hates his neighbor. So he hides and waits for him. Then he attacks him and kills him. And he runs to one of those cities for safety.

“ But suppose someone is hostile toward a neighbor and deliberately ambushes and murders him and then flees to one of the cities of refuge.

But if someone hates his neighbor, lies in ambush for him, attacks him, and strikes him fatally, and flees to one of these cities,

“ But if there is a person who hates his neighbor, and waits in ambush for him and rises up against him and strikes him so that he dies, and he flees to one of these cities,

“ But if anyone hates his neighbor, lies in wait for him, rises against him and strikes him mortally, so that he dies, and he flees to one of these cities,

But if any man hate his neighbor, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally so that he dieth, and he flee into one of these cities;

But if someone hates his neighbor, lies in ambush for him, attacks him, and strikes him fatally, and flees to one of these cities,

But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:

However, suppose a person hates someone else and stalks him, attacks him, kills him, and then flees to one of these cities.

“‘ Cursed be anyone who strikes down his neighbor in secret.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’

The murderer shall be put to death.The avenger of blood shall himself put the murderer to death; when he meets him, he shall put him to death.And if he pushed him out of hatred or hurled something at him, lying in wait, so that he died,or in enmity struck him down with his hand, so that he died, then he who struck the blow shall be put to death. He is a murderer. The avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death when he meets him.

“ Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.

If one is burdened with the blood of another, he will be a fugitive until death; let no one help him.

“ Whoever strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death.But if he did not lie in wait for him, but God let him fall into his hand, then I will appoint for you a place to which he may flee.But if a man willfully attacks another to kill him by cunning, you shall take him from my altar, that he may die.

then the congregation shall judge between the manslayer and the avenger of blood, in accordance with these rules.
