“‘不过，如果有先知擅自奉我的名，说我没有吩咐他说的话，或是奉别神的名说话，那先知就必须处死。’

若有先知擅敢託我的名說我所未曾吩咐他說的話，或是奉別神的名說話，那先知就必治死。』

若有先知擅自奉我的名說了我未曾吩咐他說的話，或是奉別神的名說話，那先知就必處死。』

若有先知冒我的名說我未曾吩咐他的話，或以其他神明的名義說話，必須處死他。』

“‘不過，如果有先知擅自奉我的名，說我沒有吩咐他說的話，或是奉別神的名說話，那先知就必須處死。’

不過，若有神言人擅自奉我的名說我不曾吩咐他說的話，或是奉別的神的名說話，那神言人就必須死。」

如有先知擅藉我名、言我所未諭者、或藉他神之名而言、必致之死、

但先知擅藉我名、言我所未嘗諭者、或藉他上帝之名而言、則必死亡。

如有先知擅藉我名、言我所未命其宣傳之言、或藉異邦之神而言、彼先知當誅、

But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.”

But suppose a prophet dares to speak in my name something I have not commanded. Or he speaks in the name of other gods. Then that prophet must be put to death.”

But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.’

「你中間若有先知或是做夢的人起來，向你顯神蹟奇事，他對你說的神蹟奇事應驗了，說：『我們去隨從別神，事奉它們吧。』那是你不認識的。你不可聽那先知或是那做夢之人的話，因為這是耶和華－你們的上帝考驗你們，要知道你們是否盡心盡性愛耶和華－你們的上帝。你們要順從耶和華－你們的上帝，敬畏他，謹守他的誡命，聽從他的話，事奉他，緊緊跟隨他。那先知或那做夢的人要被處死，因為他出言悖逆那領你們出埃及地、救贖你脫離為奴之家的耶和華－你們的上帝，要引誘你離開耶和華－你上帝吩咐你要行的道。這樣，你就把惡從你中間除掉。

若還有人說預言，生他的父母必對他說：『你不得存活，因為你假借耶和華的名說謊話。』生他的父母在他說預言時，要將他刺死。

我在撒瑪利亞的先知中曾見狂妄的事；他們藉巴力說預言，使我的百姓以色列走迷了路。我在耶路撒冷的先知中曾見恐怖的事；他們犯姦淫，行虛謊，又堅固惡人的手，無人回轉離開自己的惡行。他們在我面前都像所多瑪，耶路撒冷的居民都像蛾摩拉。因此，萬軍之耶和華論到先知如此說：「看哪，我必使他們吃茵蔯，喝苦水；因為褻瀆的事出於耶路撒冷的先知，遍及各地。」

以利亞對他們說：「拿住巴力的先知，不讓任何人逃走！」眾人就拿住他們。以利亞帶他們到基順河邊，在那裏殺了他們。

耶和華說：『我並未差遣他們，他們卻託我的名傳假預言，使我將你們和向你們說預言的那些先知趕出去，一同滅亡。』」

但這些人好像沒有理性的牲畜，生來就是要被捉拿宰殺的。他們毀謗自己所不知道的事，正在敗壞人的時候，自己也遭遇敗壞，

於是耶利米先知對哈拿尼雅先知說：「哈拿尼雅啊，你應當聽！耶和華並沒有差遣你，你竟使這百姓倚靠謊言。所以耶和華如此說：看哪，我要把你從地面上除掉，你今年必死，因為你向耶和華說了叛逆的話。」這樣，哈拿尼雅先知當年七月間就死了。

耶和華對我說：「那些先知託我的名說假預言，我並未差遣他們，沒有吩咐他們，也沒有對他們說話；他們向你們預言的是虛假的異象、占卜、虛無，以及心中的詭詐。所以耶和華如此說：『論到託我名說預言的那些先知，我並未差遣他們；他們說這地不會有刀劍、饑荒，其實那些先知自己必被刀劍、饑荒滅絕。

到了正午，以利亞嘲笑他們，說：「大聲求告吧！因為它是神明，它或許在默想，或許正忙着，或許在路上，或許在睡覺，它該醒過來了。」

祭司從來不問：『耶和華在哪裏呢？』傳講律法的不認識我，官長違背我，先知藉巴力說預言，隨從無益的東西。」

那獸被擒拿了；那在獸面前曾行奇事、迷惑了接受獸的印記和拜獸像的人的假先知，也與獸同被擒拿。他們兩個就活生生地被扔進燒着硫磺的火湖裏，

他們看見的是虛假，是謊詐的占卜，說是耶和華說的；其實耶和華並沒有差遣他們，他們卻指望那話必站立得住。

現在你要派人去召集以色列眾人，以及耶洗別所供養的四百五十個巴力的先知和四百個亞舍拉的先知，叫他們都上迦密山到我這裏來。」

那些先知用自己的舌頭說是耶和華說的；看哪，我必與他們為敵。這是耶和華說的。

「你們要防備假先知。他們到你們這裏來，外面披着羊皮，裏面卻是殘暴的狼。
