But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.”

“你們中間如果有先知，或作夢的人興起來，給你顯示神蹟或奇事；（本節在《馬索拉文本》為13:2）他告訴你的神蹟和奇事應驗了，以致他對你說：‘我們去隨從別的、你不認識的神，事奉他們吧。’你不可聽從那先知或作夢的人的話；因為耶和華你們的神試驗你們，要知道你們是不是一心一意愛耶和華你們的神。你們要順從耶和華你們的神，敬畏他，遵守他的誡命，聽從他的話，事奉他，緊靠他。至於那先知，或作夢的人，你們要把他處死，因為他說了叛逆的話，叛逆了那領你們出埃及地，救贖你脫離為奴之家的耶和華你們的神，要你離棄耶和華你的神吩咐你走的道路。這樣你就把那惡從你們中間除掉了。

如果有人再說預言，他的親生父母必對他說：‘你不該活著，因為你奉耶和華的名說謊。’他說預言的時候，他的親生父母必把他刺死。

“在撒瑪利亞的先知中，我看見可厭的事：他們竟奉巴力的名說預言，使我的子民以色列走錯了路。在耶路撒冷的先知中，我看見可怕的事。他們犯姦淫，行事虛假，堅固惡人的手，以致沒有人離棄惡行；在我看來，他們都像所多瑪人，耶路撒冷的居民也像蛾摩拉人一樣。”因此，論到這些先知，萬軍之耶和華這樣說：“看哪！我必使他們吃苦堇，喝毒水，因為有不敬虔的風氣，從耶路撒冷的先知中散播出來，遍及全地。”

以利亞對他們說：“捉住巴力的先知，一個也不要讓他們逃脫。”於是眾人捉住他們。以利亞帶他們下到基順河邊，在那裡殺了他們。

我並沒有差遣他們（這是耶和華的宣告），他們卻冒我的名說虛假的預言，以致我趕逐你們，使你們和那些向你們說虛假預言的先知都一同滅亡。”

但這些人，好像沒有理性的牲畜，生下來就是給人捉去宰殺的；他們毀謗自己所不知道的事，必在自己的敗壞中滅亡。

耶利米先知就對哈拿尼雅先知說：“哈拿尼雅啊！你要聽，耶和華並沒有差遣你，你竟使這人民信靠謊言。因此耶和華這樣說：‘看哪！我必使你離開人世；你今年一定死，因為你說了悖逆耶和華的話。’”這樣，在當年七月，哈拿尼雅先知就死了。

耶和華對我說：“那些先知借我的名說假預言；我並沒有差遣他們，沒有吩咐他們，也沒有向他們說話。他們對你們所預言的，是虛假的異象、占卜的預兆、虛無的事，和他們自己心裡的詭詐。”因此，耶和華這樣說：“關於那些借我名說預言的先知，我並沒有差遣他們，他們竟說：‘這地必不會有刀劍和饑荒。’那些先知必被刀劍和饑荒滅絕。

到了中午，以利亞嘲笑他們，說：“大聲呼求吧，因為他是神，也許他正在默想，或事務繁忙，或正在旅行，或正在睡覺，你們要把他叫醒。”

眾祭司都不問：‘耶和華在哪裡？’律法師不認識我，官長悖逆我，先知奉巴力的名說預言，跟從那無益的偶像。

那獸被捉住了；連同在獸面前用奇事迷惑人，使他們接受獸的記號，並且拜獸像的那假先知，也一起被捉住了。他們兩個就活活地被拋在燒著硫磺的火湖裡去。

他們所見的是虛假的異象，是騙人的占卜；他們說：‘這是耶和華的宣告。’其實耶和華並沒有差遣他們，他們卻希望自己的話能夠應驗。

現在你要派人去召集以色列眾人和四百五十個巴力的先知，以及耶洗別供養的四百個亞舍拉的先知，都上迦密山來見我。”

“看哪！那些先知用自己的舌頭說：‘這是耶和華的宣告’，我要對付他們。”這是耶和華的宣告。

“提防假先知！他們披著羊皮到你們當中，裡面卻是殘暴的狼。
