But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.”

“你们中间如果有先知，或作梦的人兴起来，给你显示神迹或奇事；（本节在《马索拉文本》为13:2）他告诉你的神迹和奇事应验了，以致他对你说：‘我们去随从别的、你不认识的神，事奉他们吧。’你不可听从那先知或作梦的人的话；因为耶和华你们的神试验你们，要知道你们是不是一心一意爱耶和华你们的神。你们要顺从耶和华你们的神，敬畏他，遵守他的诫命，听从他的话，事奉他，紧靠他。至于那先知，或作梦的人，你们要把他处死，因为他说了叛逆的话，叛逆了那领你们出埃及地，救赎你脱离为奴之家的耶和华你们的神，要你离弃耶和华你的神吩咐你走的道路。这样你就把那恶从你们中间除掉了。

如果有人再说预言，他的亲生父母必对他说：‘你不该活着，因为你奉耶和华的名说谎。’他说预言的时候，他的亲生父母必把他刺死。

“在撒玛利亚的先知中，我看见可厌的事：他们竟奉巴力的名说预言，使我的子民以色列走错了路。在耶路撒冷的先知中，我看见可怕的事。他们犯奸淫，行事虚假，坚固恶人的手，以致没有人离弃恶行；在我看来，他们都像所多玛人，耶路撒冷的居民也像蛾摩拉人一样。”因此，论到这些先知，万军之耶和华这样说：“看哪！我必使他们吃苦堇，喝毒水，因为有不敬虔的风气，从耶路撒冷的先知中散播出来，遍及全地。”

以利亚对他们说：“捉住巴力的先知，一个也不要让他们逃脱。”于是众人捉住他们。以利亚带他们下到基顺河边，在那里杀了他们。

我并没有差遣他们（这是耶和华的宣告），他们却冒我的名说虚假的预言，以致我赶逐你们，使你们和那些向你们说虚假预言的先知都一同灭亡。”

但这些人，好像没有理性的牲畜，生下来就是给人捉去宰杀的；他们毁谤自己所不知道的事，必在自己的败坏中灭亡。

耶利米先知就对哈拿尼雅先知说：“哈拿尼雅啊！你要听，耶和华并没有差遣你，你竟使这人民信靠谎言。因此耶和华这样说：‘看哪！我必使你离开人世；你今年一定死，因为你说了悖逆耶和华的话。’”这样，在当年七月，哈拿尼雅先知就死了。

耶和华对我说：“那些先知借我的名说假预言；我并没有差遣他们，没有吩咐他们，也没有向他们说话。他们对你们所预言的，是虚假的异象、占卜的预兆、虚无的事，和他们自己心里的诡诈。”因此，耶和华这样说：“关于那些借我名说预言的先知，我并没有差遣他们，他们竟说：‘这地必不会有刀剑和饥荒。’那些先知必被刀剑和饥荒灭绝。

到了中午，以利亚嘲笑他们，说：“大声呼求吧，因为他是神，也许他正在默想，或事务繁忙，或正在旅行，或正在睡觉，你们要把他叫醒。”

众祭司都不问：‘耶和华在哪里？’律法师不认识我，官长悖逆我，先知奉巴力的名说预言，跟从那无益的偶像。

那兽被捉住了；连同在兽面前用奇事迷惑人，使他们接受兽的记号，并且拜兽像的那假先知，也一起被捉住了。他们两个就活活地被抛在烧着硫磺的火湖里去。

他们所见的是虚假的异象，是骗人的占卜；他们说：‘这是耶和华的宣告。’其实耶和华并没有差遣他们，他们却希望自己的话能够应验。

现在你要派人去召集以色列众人和四百五十个巴力的先知，以及耶洗别供养的四百个亚舍拉的先知，都上迦密山来见我。”

“看哪！那些先知用自己的舌头说：‘这是耶和华的宣告’，我要对付他们。”这是耶和华的宣告。

“提防假先知！他们披着羊皮到你们当中，里面却是残暴的狼。
