I will raise up a prophet like you for them from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth and he will speak to them whatever I command.

The LORD makes this promise on oath and will not revoke it:“ You are an eternal priest after the pattern of Melchizedek.”

The sovereign LORD has given me the capacity to be his spokesman, so that I know how to help the weary. He wakes me up every morning; he makes me alert so I can listen attentively as disciples do.

“ I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill.”

Just as you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world.

Why then was the law given? It was added because of transgressions, until the arrival of the descendant to whom the promise had been made. It was administered through angels by an intermediary.Now an intermediary is not for one party alone, but God is one.

I no longer call you slaves, because the slave does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because I have revealed to you everything I heard from my Father.

who is faithful to the one who appointed him, as Moses was also in God’s house.For he has come to deserve greater glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house deserves greater honor than the house itself!For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, to testify to the things that would be spoken.But Christ is faithful as a son over God’s house. We are of his house, if in fact we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope we take pride in.

and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks of something better than Abel’s does.Take care not to refuse the one who is speaking! For if they did not escape when they refused the one who warned them on earth, how much less shall we, if we reject the one who warns from heaven?

accordingly Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.

And he put the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the curtain,and he burned fragrant incense on it, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.Then he put the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.He also put the altar for the burnt offering by the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

The LORD was king over Jeshurun, when the leaders of the people assembled, the tribes of Israel together.

( I was standing between the LORD and you at that time to reveal to you the message of the LORD, because you were afraid of the fire and would not go up the mountain.) He said:

The LORD said,“ Hear now my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known to him in a vision; I will speak with him in a dream.My servant Moses is not like this; he is faithful in all my house.With him I will speak face to face, openly, and not in riddles; and he will see the form of the LORD. Then say to him,‘ The LORD who rules over all says,“ Look– here is the man whose name is Branch, who will sprout up from his place and build the temple of the LORD.Indeed, he will build the temple of the LORD, and he will be clothed in splendor, sitting as king on his throne. Moreover, there will be a priest with him on his throne and they will see eye to eye on everything.

Then Moses cried to the LORD,“ Heal her now, O God.”

For a child has been born to us, a son has been given to us. He shoulders responsibility and is called: Extraordinary Strategist, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.His dominion will be vast and he will bring immeasurable prosperity. He will rule on David’s throne and over David’s kingdom, establishing it and strengthening it by promoting justice and fairness, from this time forward and forevermore. The LORD’s intense devotion to his people will accomplish this.
