For this is what you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said,“ Let us not hear the voice of the Lord our God nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die.”

At Mount Horeb you asked the Lord your God for a prophet. You asked him on the day you gathered together. You said,“ We don’t want to hear the voice of the Lord our God. We don’t want to see this great fire anymore. If we do, we’ll die.”

just as you desired of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, when you said,‘ Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God or see this great fire any more, lest I die.’

For this is what you yourselves requested of the Lord your God when you were assembled at Mount Sinai. You said,‘ Don’t let us hear the voice of the Lord our God anymore or see this blazing fire, for we will die.’

This is what you requested from the LORD your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said,‘ Let us not continue to hear the voice of the LORD our God or see this great fire any longer, so that we will not die!’

This is in accordance with everything that you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying,‘ Do not let me hear the voice of the Lord my God again, and do not let me see this great fire anymore, or I will die!’

according to all you desired of the Lord your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying,‘ Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.’

according to all that thou desiredst of Jehovah thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of Jehovah my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

This is what you requested from the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said,‘ Let us not continue to hear the voice of the Lord our God or see this great fire any longer, so that we will not die!’

According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

This accords with what happened at Horeb in the day of the assembly. You asked the LORD your God:“ Please do not make us hear the voice of the LORD our God any more or see this great fire any more lest we die.”

This is according to all that you desired of Yahweh your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying,“ Let me not hear again Yahweh my God’s voice, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I not die.”

你們聽見有聲音從黑暗中發出、那時山上有火燒着，你們就走近我來，你們族派中所有的首領和你們的長老都來，說：「看哪，永恆主我們的上帝將他的榮光和他的至大向我們顯現，我們又聽見他的聲音從火中發出；今日我們居然見上帝和人說話，而人還活着。現在這大火將要燒滅我們，我們又何必冒死呢？我們若再聽見永恆主我們的上帝的聲音，就會死的。因為血肉之人誰曾聽見過永活的上帝從火中說話的聲音，像我們聽見了，還能活着呢？如今只求你，你走近前去，聽永恆主我們的上帝所要說的一切話，然後你、將永恆主我們的上帝所對你說的一切話、對我們說，我們就聽從、就遵行。」『你們對我說話的時候、你們說話的話意、永恆主都聽出來了；永恆主就對我說：「這人民對你說話、其話意我都聽出來了；他們所說的、都說得對。

號筒的響聲、和說話之聲音的；當時聽見的都請求不要把話語加傳給他們；
