免其對於昆弟、中心驕矜、違此誡命、偏於左右、則可延年於國、在以色列中、爰及子孫、

心勿驕奢、藐視同儕、勿違誡命、勿偏於左、勿偏於右、則可享遐齡、爰及子孫、於以色列族中。

俾不心驕藐視同族人、不向左不向右偏離誡命、則可在以色列人中久居王位、爰及其子孫、

and not consider himself better than his fellow Israelites and turn from the law to the right or to the left. Then he and his descendants will reign a long time over his kingdom in Israel.

He won’t think of himself as being better than his people are. He won’t turn away from the law. He won’t turn to the right or the left. Then he and his sons after him will rule over his kingdom in Israel for a long time.

that his heart may not be lifted up above his brothers, and that he may not turn aside from the commandment, either to the right hand or to the left, so that he may continue long in his kingdom, he and his children, in Israel.

This regular reading will prevent him from becoming proud and acting as if he is above his fellow citizens. It will also prevent him from turning away from these commands in the smallest way. And it will ensure that he and his descendants will reign for many generations in Israel.

Then his heart will not be exalted above his countrymen, he will not turn from this command to the right or the left, and he and his sons will continue reigning many years in Israel.

so that his heart will not be haughty toward his countrymen, and that he will not turn away from the commandment to the right or the left, so that he and his sons may live long in his kingdom in the midst of Israel.

所以，你们要照耶和华—你们上帝所吩咐的谨守遵行，不可偏离左右。

因为大卫除了赫人乌利亚那件事，都行耶和华眼中看为正的事，一生没有违背耶和华一切所吩咐的。

但他的心高傲，灵也刚愎，以致行事狂傲，就被革去国度的王位，夺走荣耀。他被赶出离开世人，他的心变为兽心，与野驴同住，吃草如牛，身体被天上的露水滴湿，直到他知道，至高的上帝在人的国中掌权，凭自己的旨意立人治国。伯沙撒啊，你是他的儿子，你虽知道这一切，却不谦卑自己，竟向天上的主自高，差人将他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、王后、妃嫔用这器皿饮酒。你又赞美那不能看、不能听、无知无识，用金、银、铜、铁、木、石造的神明，没有将荣耀归与那手中掌管你气息，管理你一切行动的上帝。

耶和华啊，我的心不狂妄，我的眼不高傲；重大和测不透的事，我也不敢行。我使我心安稳平静，好像母亲怀中断奶的孩子；我的心在我里面如同断过奶的孩子。

因万军之耶和华的一个日子要临到所有骄傲狂妄的，临到一切自高的，使他们降为卑；

只留一个支派给他的儿子，使我仆人大卫在我所选择立我名的耶路撒冷城那里，在我面前常有灯光。

因为财富不能永留，冠冕岂能存到万代？

就是听见我指着这地方和其上居民所说的话，你的心就软化，在我面前谦卑下来，撕裂衣服，向我哭泣，因此我应允你。这是耶和华说的。

悖逆与占卜的罪相等，顽梗与拜偶像的罪孽相同。因为你厌弃耶和华的命令，耶和华也厌弃你作王。”

你的牛羊增多，你的金银增多，你拥有的一切全都增多，于是你的心高傲，忘记耶和华—你的上帝。他曾将你从埃及地为奴之家领出来，

你要记得，这四十年耶和华—你的上帝在旷野一路引导你，是要磨炼你，考验你，为要知道你的心如何，是否愿意遵守他的诫命。

他的祷告，上帝怎样应允他，他未谦卑以前的一切罪愆过犯，以及在何处建筑丘坛，设立亚舍拉和雕刻的偶像，看哪，都写在何赛的书上。

我吩咐你们的话，你们不可加添，也不可删减，好叫你们遵守耶和华—你们上帝的命令，就是我所吩咐你们的。

因此你的仆人受警戒，遵守这些有极大的赏赐。

他在急难的时候恳求耶和华—他的上帝，并在他列祖的上帝面前极其谦卑。

不可吃血，好让你和你的子孙可以得福，因为你行了耶和华眼中看为正的事。

你的众子若谨守我的约和我所教导他们的法度，他们的子孙必永远坐在你的宝座上。”

你说，看哪，你打败了以东，就心高气傲，以此为荣。现在，你待在家里算了吧，为何要惹祸使自己和犹大一同败亡呢？”

你要谨守听从我所吩咐的一切话，好让你和你的子孙可以永远得福，因为你行耶和华—你上帝眼中看为善、看为正的事。”

你果然打败了以东，就心高气傲。你以此为荣，就待在自己家里算了吧，为何要惹祸，使自己和犹大一同败亡呢？”

乌西雅既强盛，就心高气傲，以致败坏。他干犯耶和华—他的上帝，进耶和华的殿，要在香坛上烧香。

但我不从他手里夺走整个国家，却使他在活着的日子作君王，是因我所拣选的仆人大卫遵守我的诫命律例。

又恐怕我因所得的启示太高深，就过于高抬自己，所以有一根刺加在我身上，就是撒但的差役来折磨我，免得我过于高抬自己。

要按照所教导你的律法、所告诉你的典章去执行；他们指示你的判决，你不可偏离左右。

但他不像他父亲玛拿西在耶和华面前那样谦卑下来。这亚们的罪越犯越大。

同样，你们年轻的，要顺服年长的。你们大家都要以谦卑当衣服穿上，彼此顺服，因为“上帝抵挡骄傲的人，但赐恩给谦卑的人。”

耶和华对耶户说：“因你办好我眼中看为正的事，照我的心意待亚哈家，你的子孙必接续你坐以色列的王位，直到第四代。”

敬畏耶和华使人长寿；恶人的年岁必减少。

希西家却没有照他所蒙的恩回报，因他心里骄傲，所以愤怒要临到他，临到犹大和耶路撒冷。但希西家和耶路撒冷的居民为了心里骄傲，就一同谦卑，以致耶和华的愤怒在希西家的日子没有临到他们。

然而，因你父亲大卫的缘故，我不在你的日子行这事，而要从你儿子的手中撕裂这国。只是我不撕裂全国，却要因我仆人大卫和我所选择的耶路撒冷，保留一个支派给你的儿子。”

凡我所吩咐你们的事，你们都要谨守遵行，不可加添，也不可删减。”

恶人却不得福乐，他的日子好像影儿不得长久，因为他不敬畏上帝。

看哪，恶人自高自大，心不正直；惟义人必因他的信得生。

撒母耳对扫罗说：“你做了糊涂事了，没有遵守耶和华—你上帝吩咐你的命令。不然，耶和华会在以色列中坚立你的国度，直到永远。现在你的国度必不长久。耶和华已经寻着一个合他心意的人，立他作百姓的君王，因为你没有遵守耶和华所吩咐你的。”
