我多麼愛慕你的律法，終日思想。我持守你的命令，你的命令使我比仇敵有智慧。我比我的老師更有洞見，因為我思想你的法度。我比長者更明智，因為我遵守你的法則。

你們研讀聖經，以為從聖經中可以得到永生。其實為我做見證的正是這聖經，

並且你從小就熟悉聖經。聖經能給你智慧，使你藉著信基督耶穌得到拯救。聖經全部是上帝啟示的，有益於教導、督責、使人歸正、培養人行義，使屬上帝的人得到充分的裝備，去行各種善事。

「所以，你們要把我的這些吩咐銘記在心，繫在手上，戴在額上作記號；

那天，你們在何烈山站在你們的上帝耶和華面前，耶和華對我說，『把民眾招聚起來，讓他們聽我的教誨，學習一生敬畏我，並傳授給自己的兒女。』

要將我今天吩咐你們的話牢記在心，並教導你們的兒女，無論在家在外，或起或臥，都要講論這些律例和誡命。要把它們繫在手上、戴在額上作記號，要寫在城門上和自家的門框上。
