勿惟暴虐是恃、勿因刦奪而驕、貨財增益、勿繫念兮、

曰、緣此人必離父母、膠漆其妻、成為一體、此經爾未讀乎、

大衛在希伯崙生子、長暗嫩、乃耶斯列女亞希暖所出、次基利押、乃曾適迦密人拿八之亞比該所出、三押沙龍、乃基述王達買女瑪迦之子、四亞多尼雅、乃哈及之子、五示法提雅、乃亞比他之子、六以特念、乃大衛妻以格拉所出、此皆大衛在希伯崙所生者、○

遂語眾曰、慎戒貪婪、蓋人之生、不在所蓄之豐裕也、

當諭今世之富有者、志勿高、勿望無定之財、惟望上帝、即厚以百物賜我者、

上帝生氣雖有餘裕、祇造一人、何以惟一、乃求聖裔耳、故當謹守爾心、勿以詐偽待少時之妻、

圖富有者、乃陷於誘惑機檻、及無知有害之諸慾、溺人於滅亡者也、

耶穌謂其徒曰、我誠語汝、富者入天國、難矣哉、我又語汝、駝穿針孔、較富者入上帝國猶易也、

播於棘中者、乃人聽道、而世之慮、財之惑、蔽其道而不實、

勿積財於地、其處蠹蝕銹壞、盜穴而竊之、惟積財於天、其處則蠹不蝕、銹不壞、盜不穴而竊之、

所羅門王所有之爵、悉以金製、利巴嫩林宮諸器、皆為精金、當所羅門時、銀不為貴、
