be sure to appoint over you a king the Lord your God chooses. He must be from among your fellow Israelites. Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not an Israelite.

When that happens, make sure you appoint over yourselves a king the Lord your God chooses. He must be from among your own people. Don’t appoint over yourselves someone from another country. Don’t choose anyone who isn’t from one of the tribes of Israel.

撒母耳对众百姓说：“你们看到了耶和华所拣选的人吗？众百姓中没有人可以与他相比。”众百姓就欢呼说：“愿王万岁！”

耶和华赐我许多儿子，在我儿子中拣选我儿子所罗门坐耶和华国度的王位，治理以色列。

你不要弄到赤足而行，喉咙干渴。你却说：‘没有用的，我喜爱陌生人，我必随从他们。’”

耶西就派人去叫他来。他面色红润，双目清秀，容貌俊美。耶和华说：“起来，膏他，因为这就是他了。”撒母耳就用角里的膏油，在他的兄长中膏了他。从这日起，耶和华的灵就大大感动大卫。撒母耳起身回拉玛去了。

世上的君王都站稳，臣宰一同算计，要对抗耶和华，对抗他的受膏者：

从前扫罗作我们王的时候，率领以色列人出入的是你。耶和华也曾对你说：‘你必牧养我的百姓以色列，你必作以色列的君王。’”

扫罗还没有到的前一日，耶和华已经对撒母耳启示说：“明日这时候，我必使一个人从便雅悯地到你这里来，你要膏他作我百姓以色列的君王。他必救我的百姓脱离非利士人的手，因为我眷顾我的百姓，他们的哀声已上达于我。”撒母耳看见扫罗的时候，耶和华对他说：“看哪，这就是我对你所说的人，他必治理我的百姓。”

“我已经在锡安—我的圣山膏立了我的君王。”
