“ When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, take possession of it, live in it, and say,‘ I will set a king over me like all the nations around me,’

“你到了耶和华—你神所赐你的地，得了那地居住在其中的时候，若说：‘我要立王治理我，像我四围所有的国家一样’，

“你们进入并占领你们的上帝耶和华将要赐给你们的土地，安顿下来后，就会想立自己的王，像周围的国家一样。

“你进了耶和华你的神赐给你的地，占领了那地，居住在那里的时候，如果你说：‘我要立一位君王治理我，像我四围的列国一样。’

『你進了永恆主你的上帝所賜給你去取得而居住的地那時候，若說：「我要立王管理我、像我四圍的列國一樣」；

既至爾上帝耶和華所錫之地、據而居之、意謂必立王以治我、如四周之國然、

爾既至爾上帝耶和華所錫之地、據而居之、意謂必立王、如列邦之民然、

爾既至主爾天主所賜爾之地、得而居之、意謂不如立王以治我、如我四周列國之民然、

When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you and have taken possession of it and settled in it, and you say,“ Let us set a king over us like all the nations around us,”

You will enter the land the Lord your God is giving you. You will take it as your own. You will make your homes in it. When you do, you will say,“ Let’s appoint a king over us, just like all the nations around us.”

“ When you come to the land that the Lord your God is giving you, and you possess it and dwell in it and then say,‘ I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are around me,’

“ You are about to enter the land the Lord your God is giving you. When you take it over and settle there, you may think,‘ We should select a king to rule over us like the other nations around us.’

“ When you enter the land which the Lord your God is giving you, and you take possession of it and live in it, and you say,‘ I will appoint a king over me like all the nations who are around me,’

“ When you come to the land which the Lord your God is giving you, and possess it and dwell in it, and say,‘ I will set a king over me like all the nations that are around me,’

When thou art come unto the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are round about me;

“ When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, take possession of it, live in it, and say,‘ I will set a king over me like all the nations around me,’

When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that[ are] about me;

When you come to the land the LORD your God is giving you and take it over and live in it and then say,“ I will select a king like all the nations surrounding me,”

When you have come to the land which Yahweh your God gives you, and possess it and dwell in it, and say,“ I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are around me,”

The people refused to listen to Samuel.“ No!” they said.“ We must have a king over us.Then we’ll be like all the other nations: our king will judge us, go out before us, and fight our battles.”

“ When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not imitate the detestable customs of those nations.

Indeed, you have not yet come into the resting place and the inheritance the LORD your God is giving you.When you cross the Jordan and live in the land the LORD your God is giving you to inherit, and he gives you rest from all the enemies around you and you live in security,

He led us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

“ When you enter the land of Canaan that I am giving you as a possession, and I place a mildew contamination in a house in the land you possess,

“ Remember what Moses the LORD’s servant commanded you when he said,‘ The LORD your God will give you rest, and he will give you this land.’

For you are about to cross the Jordan to enter and take possession of the land the LORD your God is giving you. When you possess it and settle in it,

They said to him,“ Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Therefore, appoint a king to judge us the same as all the other nations have.”When they said,“ Give us a king to judge us,” Samuel considered their demand wrong, so he prayed to the LORD.But the LORD told him,“ Listen to the people and everything they say to you. They have not rejected you; they have rejected me as their king.

“ When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you take possession of it and live in it,

They pleaded with Samuel,“ Pray to the LORD your God for your servants so we won’t die! For we have added to all our sins the evil of requesting a king for ourselves.”

“ When the LORD your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess, and he drives out many nations before you— the Hethites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations more numerous and powerful than you—
