若有人擅敢不听从那侍立在耶和华你神面前的祭司，或不听从审判官，那人就必治死；这样，便将那恶从以色列中除掉。

若有人擅自行事，不听从那侍立在耶和华—你上帝那里事奉的祭司，或不听从审判官，那人就要处死。这样，你就把恶从以色列中除掉。

有人擅敢不聽從祭司、即侍立在彼以奉事主爾之天主者、或不聽從士師、其人必當治死、如是、除惡於以色列人中、

Anyone who shows contempt for the judge or for the priest who stands ministering there to the Lord your God is to be put to death. You must purge the evil from Israel.

Someone might show that they don’t respect the judge. Or they will show that they don’t respect the priest. The priest will serve the Lord your God at the place God will choose. If anyone doesn’t show respect for these people, that person must be put to death. Remove that evil person from Israel.

The man who acts presumptuously by not obeying the priest who stands to minister there before the Lord your God, or the judge, that man shall die. So you shall purge the evil from Israel.

Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the Lord your God must die. In this way you will purge the evil from Israel.

The person who acts arrogantly, refusing to listen either to the priest who stands there serving the LORD your God or to the judge, must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.

But the person who acts insolently by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that person shall die; so you shall eliminate the evil from Israel.

Now the man who acts presumptuously and will not heed the priest who stands to minister there before the Lord your God, or the judge, that man shall die. So you shall put away the evil from Israel.

And the man that doeth presumptuously, in not hearkening unto the priest that standeth to minister there before Jehovah thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.

The person who pays no attention to the priest currently serving the LORD your God there, or to the verdict– that person must die, so that you may purge evil from Israel.

The man who does presumptuously in not listening to the priest who stands to minister there before Yahweh your God, or to the judge, even that man shall die. You shall put away the evil from Israel.

That prophet or dreamer must be put to death for inciting rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. That prophet or dreamer tried to turn you from the way the Lord your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you. (niv)

“‘ But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native- born or foreigner, blasphemes the Lord and must be cut off from the people of Israel. (niv)

At that time the Lord set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to minister and to pronounce blessings in his name, as they still do today. (niv)

Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit. (niv)

If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet. (niv)

he may minister in the name of the Lord his God like all his fellow Levites who serve there in the presence of the Lord. (niv)

“ But let no one bring a charge, let no one accuse another, for your people are like those who bring charges against a priest. (niv)

Anyone who failed to appear within three days would forfeit all his property, in accordance with the decision of the officials and elders, and would himself be expelled from the assembly of the exiles. (niv)

for the Lord your God has chosen them and their descendants out of all your tribes to stand and minister in the Lord’s name always. (niv)

The hands of the witnesses must be the first in putting that person to death, and then the hands of all the people. You must purge the evil from among you. (niv)

If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? But those elders who are sinning you are to reprove before everyone, so that the others may take warning. (niv)

When a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom; by paying attention to the wise they get knowledge. (niv)

For twenty-three years— from the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah until this very day— the word of the Lord has come to me and I have spoken to you again and again, but you have not listened.And though the Lord has sent all his servants the prophets to you again and again, you have not listened or paid any attention.They said,“ Turn now, each of you, from your evil ways and your evil practices, and you can stay in the land the Lord gave to you and your ancestors for ever and ever.Do not follow other gods to serve and worship them; do not arouse my anger with what your hands have made. Then I will not harm you.”“ But you did not listen to me,” declares the Lord,“ and you have aroused my anger with what your hands have made, and you have brought harm to yourselves.”Therefore the Lord Almighty says this:“ Because you have not listened to my words,I will summon all the peoples of the north and my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon,” declares the Lord,“ and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and against all the surrounding nations. I will completely destroy them and make them an object of horror and scorn, and an everlasting ruin.I will banish from them the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, the sound of millstones and the light of the lamp.This whole country will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.“ But when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation, the land of the Babylonians, for their guilt,” declares the Lord,“ and will make it desolate forever.I will bring on that land all the things I have spoken against it, all that are written in this book and prophesied by Jeremiah against all the nations.They themselves will be enslaved by many nations and great kings; I will repay them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.” (niv)

Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and no one among you will do such an evil thing again. (niv)

Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression. (niv)

There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. (niv)
