You must do what you are instructed, and the verdict they pronounce to you, without fail. Do not deviate right or left from what they tell you.

Act according to whatever they teach you and the decisions they give you. Do not turn aside from what they tell you, to the right or to the left.

It is God’s servant to administer retribution on the wrongdoer.Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of the wrath of the authorities but also because of your conscience.For this reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants devoted to governing.

The king said,“ Did Joab put you up to all of this?” The woman answered,“ As surely as you live, my lord the king, there is no deviation to the right or to the left from all that my lord the king has said. For your servant Joab gave me instructions. He has put all these words in your servant’s mouth.

Yet these men, as a result of their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and insult the glorious ones.

Then he will not exalt himself above his fellow citizens or turn from the commandments to the right or left, and he and his descendants will enjoy many years ruling over his kingdom in Israel.

Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work.

Be careful, therefore, to do exactly what the LORD your God has commanded you; do not turn right or left!

If controversy arises between people, they should go to court for judgment. When the judges hear the case, they shall exonerate the innocent but condemn the guilty.

Be very strong! Carefully obey all that is written in the law scroll of Moses so you won’t swerve from it to the right or the left,

But you must not turn away from all the commandments I am giving you today, to either the right or left, nor pursue other gods and worship them.

Be subject to every human institution for the Lord’s sake, whether to a king as supremeor to governors as those he commissions to punish wrongdoers and praise those who do good.For God wants you to silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good.

especially those who indulge their fleshly desires and who despise authority. Brazen and insolent, they are not afraid to insult the glorious ones,

You, however, have turned from the way. You have caused many to violate the law; you have corrupted the covenant with Levi,” says the LORD who rules over all.“ Therefore, I have caused you to be ignored and belittled before all people to the extent to which you are not following after me and are showing partiality in your instruction.”
