Do not eat it with bread made with yeast, but for seven days eat unleavened bread, the bread of affliction, because you left Egypt in haste— so that all the days of your life you may remember the time of your departure from Egypt.

“ You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib; for in the month Abib you came out of Egypt.

In the second month, on the fourteenth day at evening they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

They shall eat the meat in that night, roasted with fire, and unleavened bread. They shall eat it with bitter herbs.

There shall be no yeast found in your houses for seven days, for whoever eats that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a foreigner, or one who is born in the land.You shall eat nothing leavened. In all your habitations you shall eat unleavened bread.’”

I will pour on David’s house, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they will look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.

He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered. Yahweh is gracious and merciful.

Say,‘ The king says,“ Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.”’”

This is how you shall eat it: with your belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is Yahweh’s Passover.

You became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,

He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke, and gave it to them, saying,“ This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”

This day shall be a memorial for you. You shall keep it as a feast to Yahweh. You shall keep it as a feast throughout your generations by an ordinance forever.“‘ Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away yeast out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

Moses said to the people,“ Remember this day, in which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.Today you go out in the month Abib.It shall be, when Yahweh brings you into the land of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, which he swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep this service in this month.Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to Yahweh.Unleavened bread shall be eaten throughout the seven days; and no leavened bread shall be seen with you. No yeast shall be seen with you, within all your borders.You shall tell your son in that day, saying,‘ It is because of that which Yahweh did for me when I came out of Egypt.’It shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that Yahweh’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand Yahweh has brought you out of Egypt.

For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death.For behold, this same thing, that you were grieved in a godly way, what earnest care it worked in you. Yes, what defense, indignation, fear, longing, zeal, and vengeance! In everything you demonstrated yourselves to be pure in the matter.

When he had given thanks, he broke it and said,“ Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me.”In the same way he also took the cup, after supper, saying,“ This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me.”For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

On the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread to Yahweh. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.

For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mixed my drink with tears,

Therefore let’s keep the feast, not with old yeast, neither with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
