爭訟之二人、當近於主前、立於當時之祭司與士師前、士師詳細究察、若證者果然妄證、妄證欲害同儕、

以斯哈族基拿尼、及其子為有司士師、理以色列之外事、

有人擅敢不聽從祭司、即侍立在彼以奉事主爾之天主者、或不聽從士師、其人必當治死、如是、除惡於以色列人中、

則爾之長老士師當出、自被殺者所偃之處、向四周之邑、量度遠近、或作則爾之長老士師當出量度遠近自被殺者所偃之所至四周之諸邑

見祭司利未人、與當時之士師、請問於彼、彼必告爾如何判斷、

我遂於爾支派諸長中、選有智慧之人、眾所識者、立為官長、千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長、治理爾諸支派、當時我命爾士師曰、爾聽訟於同族人間、或於同族人與外邦客旅間、當以公義判斷、審鞫之時、勿以貌取人、聽訟勿分尊卑、不可畏人、蓋審鞫之事屬天主、如爾有難斷之事、則呈於我、而我聽之、

居上位秉權者、人人當服之、蓋無權非由天主、凡秉權者皆天主所命、故抗秉權者、乃逆天主命、逆者自取罪戾、有司非使行善者畏、乃使行惡者畏、爾欲不畏秉權者乎、惟行善、則可得其褒獎、秉權者、天主之僕也、原以益爾、爾若行惡、則誠可畏、蓋彼不徒操生殺之權、操生殺之權原文作文作操刀乃為天主之僕、嚴加刑於作惡之人、故當服之、非但畏刑之故、亦因良心使然也、爾曹納稅、亦為是故、蓋秉權者、乃天主之役、常理此事、

則主人當攜之至士師前、導至於門、或於門柱、以錐貫其耳、彼則永事主人焉、○

在國中、在猶大諸鞏固之邑、設主士師、邑邑皆然、謂士師曰、慎爾所行、爾聽訟非為人、乃為主、聽訟之時、主必偕爾、當敬畏主、慎爾所為、凡不公義、偏視人、受賄賂之事、皆主我之天主所不容、約沙法由利未人祭司及以色列人族長中選人、使之在耶路撒冷為主審鞫聽訟、於是歸耶路撒冷、命之曰、爾行此事、當敬畏主、盡忠義、有誠心、爾之同族居於各邑者、如有訟事就正、或為流血、或為犯律例、誡命、禮儀、法度、則爾當訓之勿獲罪於主、恐主怒爾及爾同族、爾如是行、則可以無過、凡屬主之事、祭司長亞瑪利雅可總理、凡屬王之事、猶大支派之族長、以實瑪利子西巴第可總理、於爾前有利未人為有司、爾曹當奮勉行事、主必祐善人、

爾曹不秉公審判、反徇惡人情面、將至何時、細拉、爾曹當為卑弱者及孤兒伸冤、當為困苦貧窮者辨屈、
