訟者二人當就耶和華、立於當時之祭司士師前、士師詳察、其證果偽、欲害昆弟、

以斯哈族基拿尼雅及其子、為有司士師、理以色列外事、

有人擅行、不從立於爾上帝耶和華前服役之祭司、或不從士師、其人必死、除惡於以色列中、

則爾之長老士師、必至其處、於四周之邑、度其遠近、

見利未人祭司、與在位之士師、而詢問之、彼必示爾如何判斷、

我遂於爾支派為首者中、簡眾所識之明哲人、依爾支派、立之為長、即千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長、及有司、當時我命爾士師曰、爾聽訟、或人與宗族、或人與賓旅、當秉公以行鞫、鞫時、毋行偏視、無論貴賤、必聽其詞、不可畏人、蓋鞫事屬上帝也、事遇難斷、則呈我聽之、

秉權者、眾宜服之、蓋無權非由上帝、諸權皆上帝所命也、故與秉權者抗、乃拒上帝命、拒者自取鞫也、蓋有司非行善者所畏、乃行惡者所畏耳、爾欲弗畏權、惟行善則得其褒、蓋彼為上帝之役、以益爾、爾若行惡則畏之、以其非徒佩劍、乃為上帝役、以怒加諸行惡者、故須服之、不惟因怒、亦因良心也、是以爾亦輸稅、蓋彼乃上帝之有司、恆執斯役、

則其主攜之詣上帝前、附門或門橛、以錐貫其耳、僕則恆事之、○

且立士師於境內、在猶大之堅城、諸邑皆然、謂士師曰、慎爾所行、蓋爾聽訟非為人、乃為耶和華、爾行鞫時、耶和華與爾偕焉、當寅畏耶和華、慎爾所為、因我上帝耶和華無不義、不偏視、不受賄也、約沙法亦立利未人與祭司、及以色列族長於耶路撒冷、為耶和華行鞫聽訟、居於耶路撒冷、王命之曰、爾當寅畏耶和華、專心誠實行此、爾之昆弟居於各邑、如有訟事就爾、或為流血、或犯法度誡命、典章律例、當訓戒之、免其獲罪於耶和華、致耶和華之怒及爾、與爾昆弟、爾依此而行、則無罪矣、凡屬耶和華之事、大祭司亞瑪利雅總理之、凡屬王事、猶大族長、以實瑪利子西巴第雅總理之、利未人為爾之有司、當強乃志而行、願耶和華與善者偕焉、

曰、爾曹聽訟不公、偏袒惡人、將至何時乎、當為孤貧伸冤、為艱苦困乏者行義兮、
