此豁免年之例如斯、凡貸金於鄰與兄弟、兄弟或作同國之人下同此年必豁免、毋相逼索債、因是年稱為主之豁免年、

This is how it is to be done: Every creditor shall cancel any loan they have made to a fellow Israelite. They shall not require payment from anyone among their own people, because the Lord’s time for canceling debts has been proclaimed.

Have you made a loan to one of your own people? Then forgive what is owed to you. You can’t require that person to pay you back. The Lord’ s time to forgive what is owed has been announced.

And this is the manner of the release: every creditor shall release what he has lent to his neighbor. He shall not exact it of his neighbor, his brother, because the Lord’s release has been proclaimed.

This is how it must be done. Everyone must cancel the loans they have made to their fellow Israelites. They must not demand payment from their neighbors or relatives, for the Lord’s time of release has arrived.

This is how to cancel debt: Every creditor is to cancel what he has lent his neighbor. He is not to collect anything from his neighbor or brother, because the LORD’s release of debts has been proclaimed.

And this is the regulation for the release of debts: every creditor is to forgive what he has loaned to his neighbor; he shall not require it of his neighbor and his brother, because the Lord’s release has been proclaimed.

And this is the form of the release: Every creditor who has lent anything to his neighbor shall release it; he shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother, because it is called the LORD’s release.

And this is the manner of the release: every creditor shall release that which he hath lent unto his neighbor; he shall not exact it of his neighbor and his brother; because Jehovah’s release hath been proclaimed.

如果你們借東西，只借給那些有指望能從他們收取的人，那有什麼可稱讚的呢？就是罪人也借給罪人，為要如數收回。不過你們要愛你們的敵人，要善待人；借出去，不指望任何償還。這樣，你們的報償就大了，而且你們將成為至高者的兒女，因為他以仁慈待那些忘恩負義和邪惡的人。你們要仁慈，正如你們的父是仁慈的。「不要評斷人，你們就絕不被評斷；不要定人的罪，你們就絕不被定罪；要饒恕人，你們就會被饒恕。你們要給與，就會被賜予，而且用十足的量器，連搖帶按、滿滿當當地倒在你們懷裡，因為，你們用什麼量器來衡量，也會同樣地被衡量。」

他們無力償還，債主就免了他們兩個人的債。那麼，你說他們哪一個會更愛那債主呢？」

要知道，那不施憐憫的人，要受毫無憐憫的審判；憐憫勝過審判。

因為那奴僕沒有可償還的，主人就下令把他和他的妻子兒女，以及他所擁有的一切都賣掉來償還。「那奴僕就俯伏拜他，說：『請寬容我吧，將來我會把一切償還給你。』那奴僕的主人動了憐憫之心，把他釋放了，並且免了他的債。「但那奴僕出去以後，遇見一個與他同做奴僕的；這人欠他一百個銀幣。他就抓住這人，掐住這人的喉嚨，說：『把欠我的還給我。』「這人就俯伏在地央求他，說：『請寬容我吧，我會還給你的。』可是他不肯，反而把這人投進監獄，直到這人能還清所欠的債。那些與他同做奴僕的看見所發生的事，就極其憂傷，去把一切都告訴他們的主人。「於是主人把那奴僕叫來，對他說：『你這惡奴！因為你求我，我就免了你所有的債。難道你不也該憐憫與你同做奴僕的，像我憐憫了你一樣嗎？』主人就發怒，把他交給掌刑官，直到他能還清所欠的一切債。如果你們每個人不從心裡饒恕自己的弟兄，我的天父也會照樣對待你們。」

於是他們問：『我們禁食，你為什麼不看；我們刻苦己心，你為什麼不理會呢？』看哪！在禁食的日子裡，你們實際上尋求自己所喜悅的，欺壓一切為你們做工的人；

「要知道，你們如果饒恕別人的過犯，你們的天父也會饒恕你們。你們如果不饒恕別人，你們的父也不會饒恕你們的過犯。

願你饒恕我們的虧欠，如同我們也饒恕了虧欠我們的人。
