此豁免年之例如斯、凡貸金於鄰與兄弟、兄弟或作同國之人下同此年必豁免、毋相逼索債、因是年稱為主之豁免年、

This is how it is to be done: Every creditor shall cancel any loan they have made to a fellow Israelite. They shall not require payment from anyone among their own people, because the Lord’s time for canceling debts has been proclaimed.

Have you made a loan to one of your own people? Then forgive what is owed to you. You can’t require that person to pay you back. The Lord’ s time to forgive what is owed has been announced.

And this is the manner of the release: every creditor shall release what he has lent to his neighbor. He shall not exact it of his neighbor, his brother, because the Lord’s release has been proclaimed.

This is how it must be done. Everyone must cancel the loans they have made to their fellow Israelites. They must not demand payment from their neighbors or relatives, for the Lord’s time of release has arrived.

This is how to cancel debt: Every creditor is to cancel what he has lent his neighbor. He is not to collect anything from his neighbor or brother, because the LORD’s release of debts has been proclaimed.

And this is the regulation for the release of debts: every creditor is to forgive what he has loaned to his neighbor; he shall not require it of his neighbor and his brother, because the Lord’s release has been proclaimed.

And this is the form of the release: Every creditor who has lent anything to his neighbor shall release it; he shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother, because it is called the LORD’s release.

And this is the manner of the release: every creditor shall release that which he hath lent unto his neighbor; he shall not exact it of his neighbor and his brother; because Jehovah’s release hath been proclaimed.

如果你們借錢給人，指望收回，有什麼功勞呢？即使罪人也會借貸給罪人，日後再如數收回。「然而，要愛你們的仇敵，善待他們；無論借出什麼，都不要指望歸還。這樣，你們將有大賞賜，並且將成為至高者的兒子，因為祂以恩慈待那些忘恩負義和作惡的人。你們要憐憫人，像你們的天父憐憫人一樣。「不要論斷人，免得你們被人論斷；不要定人的罪，免得自己也被定罪。要饒恕人，這樣你們也必蒙饒恕。你們要給他人，這樣上帝必給你們，並且會用大號升斗搖勻壓實，滿滿地倒給你們，因為你們用什麼樣的量器量給別人，上帝也會用什麼樣的量器量給你們。」

二人都沒有能力還債，這位債主就免了他們的債務。你想，哪一位會更愛債主呢？」

因為不憐憫人的會受到無情的審判，但憐憫勝過審判。

踐踏貧民、滅絕窮人的人啊，你們要聽！你們盼望朔日和安息日快點過去，你們好售賣穀物。你們用小升斗賣糧，用加重的法碼收銀子，用假秤騙人。你們用銀子買貧民，以一雙鞋買窮人為奴，售賣摻了糠秕的麥子。

經過深思熟慮後，我便斥責這些貴族和官員，說：「你們竟然向同胞放高利貸！」於是我召開大會處理他們的問題。我對他們說：「我們在盡力贖回那些被賣到外邦的猶太同胞，你們卻要賣他們為奴，好讓我們再贖回他們嗎？」他們都沉默不語，無言以對。我繼續說：「你們的所作所為實在不對。難道你們不應該敬畏上帝，以免我們的仇敵凌辱我們嗎？我和我的兄弟及僕人都借錢、借糧給民眾，現在我們要停止放高利貸。你們今天就要歸還他們的田地、葡萄園、橄欖園和房屋，以及你們向他們所收的五穀、新酒和油的利息。」

因為這個人無法清還債款，王就下令把他及其妻兒和所有財產全部賣掉還債。那奴僕跪在王面前乞求說，『請寬容我，我會把債務全部還清的。』王可憐他，不但釋放了他，而且免了他全部的債。「可是，那奴僕出去後，遇見一位欠他一百個銀幣的同伴，就揪住同伴，掐著他的喉嚨說，『還我錢！』同伴跪下哀求道，『請寬容我，我會還你的。』「那奴僕卻不肯，竟把同伴送進監獄，直到他還清債務為止。其他的奴僕目睹這一切，都憤憤不平，把這件事告訴了王。「於是，王把那奴僕召來，說，『你這可惡的奴才！你哀求我，我就免了你所有的債。難道你不應該憐憫你的同伴，就像我憐憫你一樣嗎？』王大怒，下令把他交給獄卒受刑，直到他還清全部的債務。如果你們不從心裡饒恕自己的弟兄，我的天父也要這樣對待你們。」

他們說，『我們禁食，你為什麼不看呢？我們刻苦己身，你為什麼不理睬呢？』我說，『看啊，禁食之日你們仍然隨心所欲，壓榨你們的工人。

「如果你們饒恕別人的過犯，你們的天父也必饒恕你們的過犯。如果你們不饒恕別人的過犯，你們的天父也不會饒恕你們的過犯。

饒恕我們的罪，就像我們饒恕了得罪我們的人。
