Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the Lord your God redeemed you. That is why I give you this command today.

他為我們把自己獻出，好贖放我們脫離一切不法之行為，並潔淨我們做子民、歸他自己為產業，在好事上熱心。

『因為你們若饒恕人的過犯，你們的天父也必饒恕你們的過犯。你們若不饒恕人的過犯，你們的父也不饒恕你們的過犯。

主替我們放棄了性命：在這一點、我們就認識了愛了。我們呢、也應該替弟兄們放棄性命。

於是主人叫他來，對他說：「惡奴才，因你求了我，那全部的債我都免了你；你豈不應當憐恤和你同做奴僕的，像我憐恤你麼？」

在這蒙愛者裏面、我們藉着他的血得贖放，過犯得赦免，都照上帝恩典之豐富。

『追求救助、尋求永恆主的啊，聽我吧！你們要瞻仰那磐石、你們所被鑿而出的；瞻仰那採石坑、你們所被挖出的。

你們彼此相待、要有慈惠，有憐憫的心腸、互相饒恕，正如上帝在基督裏饒恕了你們一樣。所以你們要效法上帝，做蒙愛的兒女；也要依愛而行，正如基督愛了你們，為你們捨棄了自己、做供物做祭物獻與上帝、有馨香的氣味。

但第七日是屬永恆主你的上帝的安息日；這一日、你跟你兒子和女兒、你奴僕和使女、你的牛、驢、和一切牲口、以及你城內的寄居者，一切的工都不可作，好叫你的奴僕和使女可以和你一樣歇息。你要記得你在埃及地也作過奴僕；永恆主你的上帝用大力的手和伸出的膀臂、將你從那裏領出來；故此永恆主你的上帝吩咐你要遵守安息日的制度。

那時你們在基督以外，跟以色列的公民團契隔絕，在帶應許的諸約上是外人，在世界上是無盼望無上帝的。
