神差他独生子到世间来，使我们藉着他得生，神爱我们的心在此就显明了。不是我们爱神，乃是神爱我们，差他的儿子为我们的罪作了挽回祭，这就是爱了。亲爱的弟兄啊，神既是这样爱我们，我们也当彼此相爱。

他为我们舍了自己，要赎我们脱离一切罪恶，又洁净我们，特作自己的子民，热心为善。

“你们饶恕人的过犯，你们的天父也必饶恕你们的过犯；你们不饶恕人的过犯，你们的天父也必不饶恕你们的过犯。”

主为我们舍命，我们从此就知道何为爱；我们也当为弟兄舍命。

于是主人叫了他来，对他说：‘你这恶奴才！你央求我，我就把你所欠的都免了，你不应当怜恤你的同伴，像我怜恤你吗？’

我们藉这爱子的血得蒙救赎，过犯得以赦免，乃是照他丰富的恩典。

你们这追求公义、寻求耶和华的，当听我言！你们要追想被凿而出的磐石，被挖而出的岩穴。

并要以恩慈相待，存怜悯的心，彼此饶恕，正如神在基督里饶恕了你们一样。所以，你们该效法神，好像蒙慈爱的儿女一样。也要凭爱心行事，正如基督爱我们，为我们舍了自己，当作馨香的供物和祭物，献与神。

但第七日是向耶和华你神当守的安息日。这一日，你和你的儿女、仆婢、牛、驴、牲畜，并在你城里寄居的客旅，无论何工都不可做，使你的仆婢可以和你一样安息。你也要记念你在埃及地作过奴仆；耶和华你神用大能的手和伸出来的膀臂将你从那里领出来。因此，耶和华你的神吩咐你守安息日。

那时，你们与基督无关，在以色列国民以外，在所应许的诸约上是局外人，并且活在世上没有指望，没有神。
