因爾地不免有貧者、故我命爾曰、當開展爾手、周濟爾境內兄弟之困窮貧乏者、○

There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.

There will always be poor people in the land. So I’m commanding you to give freely to those who are poor and needy in your land. Open your hands to them.

For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you,‘ You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

There will always be some in the land who are poor. That is why I am commanding you to share freely with the poor and with other Israelites in need.

因為常有窮人和你們在一起，但是你們不常有我。

你總要伸手幫助他，照他所缺乏的借給他，補他的不足。

基督為我們捨命，我們從此就知道何為愛；我們也當為弟兄捨命。凡有世上財物的，看見弟兄缺乏，卻關閉了惻隱的心，上帝的愛怎能住在他裏面呢？孩子們哪，我們相愛，不要只在言語或舌頭上，總要以行為和真誠表現出來。

有錢人與窮乏人相遇，他們都為耶和華所造。

許多信徒都一心一意，沒有一人說他的任何東西是自己的，都是大家公用。使徒以大能見證主耶穌復活；眾人也都蒙了大恩。他們當中沒有一個缺乏的，因為凡有田產房屋的都賣了，把所賣的錢拿來，放在使徒腳前，照每人所需要的，分給每人。

內中有一位，名叫亞迦布，站起來，藉着聖靈指示普天下將有大饑荒；這事在克勞第年間果然實現了。於是門徒決定，照各人的力量捐錢，送去供給住在猶太的弟兄。他們就這樣做了，託巴拿巴和掃羅的手送到眾長老那裏。

你們要變賣財產賙濟人，為自己預備永不壞的錢囊和用不盡的財寶在天上，就是賊不能近，蟲不能蛀的地方。

他們在患難中受大考驗的時候，仍然滿有喜樂，在極度貧窮中還格外顯出他們樂捐的慷慨。我可以證明，他們是按着能力，而且超過了能力來捐助，主動再三懇求我們，准他們在這供給聖徒的善事上有份；並且他們所做的，不但照我們所期望的，更照上帝的旨意先把自己獻給主，又給了我們。因此，我們勸提多，既然在你們中間開始這慈善的事，就當把它辦成。既然你們在信心、口才、知識、萬分的熱忱，以及我們對你們的愛心上，都勝人一等，那麼，當在這慈善的事上也要勝人一等。我說這話，並不是命令你們，而是藉着別人的熱忱來考驗你們愛心的真誠。你們知道我們主耶穌基督的恩典：他本是富足，卻為你們成了貧窮，好使你們因他的貧窮而成為富足。

有求你的，就給他；有向你借貸的，不可推辭。」

又賣了田產和家業，照每一個人所需要的分給他們。
