於爾四境不無貧者、故我命汝、大啟爾手、賙濟同儕。

因爾地不免有貧者、故我命爾曰、當開展爾手、周濟爾境內兄弟之困窮貧乏者、○

There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.

There will always be poor people in the land. So I’m commanding you to give freely to those who are poor and needy in your land. Open your hands to them.

For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you,‘ You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

There will always be some in the land who are poor. That is why I am commanding you to share freely with the poor and with other Israelites in need.

因為常有窮人和你們同在；只是你們不常有我。

總要向他鬆開手，照他所缺乏的借給他，補他的不足。

主為我們捨命，我們從此就知道何為愛；我們也當為弟兄捨命。凡有世上財物的，看見弟兄窮乏，卻塞住憐恤的心，愛神的心怎能存在他裏面呢？小子們哪，我們相愛，不要只在言語和舌頭上，總要在行為和誠實上。

富戶窮人在世相遇，都為耶和華所造。

那許多信的人都是一心一意的，沒有一人說他的東西有一樣是自己的，都是大家公用。使徒大有能力，見證主耶穌復活；眾人也都蒙大恩。內中也沒有一個缺乏的；因為人人將田產房屋都賣了，把所賣的價銀拿來，放在使徒腳前，照各人所需用的，分給各人。

內中有一位，名叫亞迦布，站起來，藉着聖靈指明天下將有大饑荒。（這事到克勞第年間果然有了。）於是門徒定意照各人的力量捐錢，送去供給住在猶太的弟兄。他們就這樣行，把捐項託巴拿巴和掃羅送到眾長老那裏。

你們要變賣所有的賙濟人，為自己預備永不壞的錢囊，用不盡的財寶在天上，就是賊不能近、蟲不能蛀的地方。

就是他們在患難中受大試煉的時候，仍有滿足的快樂，在極窮之間還格外顯出他們樂捐的厚恩。我可以證明，他們是按着力量，而且也過了力量，自己甘心樂意地捐助，再三地求我們，准他們在這供給聖徒的恩情上有分；並且他們所做的，不但照我們所想望的，更照神的旨意先把自己獻給主，又歸附了我們。因此我勸提多，既然在你們中間開辦這慈惠的事，就當辦成了。你們既然在信心、口才、知識、熱心，和待我們的愛心上，都格外顯出滿足來，就當在這慈惠的事上也格外顯出滿足來。我說這話，不是吩咐你們，乃是藉着別人的熱心試驗你們愛心的實在。你們知道我們主耶穌基督的恩典：他本來富足，卻為你們成了貧窮，叫你們因他的貧窮，可以成為富足。

有求你的，就給他；有向你借貸的，不可推辭。」

並且賣了田產、家業，照各人所需用的分給各人。
