There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.

There will always be poor people in the land. So I’m commanding you to give freely to those who are poor and needy in your land. Open your hands to them.

For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you,‘ You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

There will always be some in the land who are poor. That is why I am commanding you to share freely with the poor and with other Israelites in need.

你們常常有窮人跟你們在一起，然而卻不常有我。

你一定要向他伸手，照著他缺乏的借給他，補足他的缺乏。

主為我們捨命，這樣，我們就知道甚麼是愛；我們也應當為弟兄捨命。凡有世上財物的，看見弟兄窮乏，卻硬著心腸不理，他怎能說他心裡有神的愛呢？孩子們，我們愛人，不要只在言語和舌頭上，總要在行動和真誠上表現出來。

世上有財主，也有窮人，兩者都是耶和華所造的。

全體信徒一心一意，沒有一個人說自己的財物是自己的，他們凡物公用。使徒大有能力，為主耶穌的復活作見證，眾人都蒙了大恩。他們中間沒有一個有缺乏的，因為凡有田產房屋的都賣了，把得到的錢拿來，放在使徒腳前，照著各人的需要來分配。

其中有一個名叫亞迦布的站起來，藉著聖靈指出天下將要有大饑荒；這事在革老丟時期果然發生了。於是門徒決定按著各人的力量捐款，好送給住在猶太的弟兄。他們就這樣行了，由巴拿巴和掃羅經手送到長老們那裡。

當變賣你們所有的施捨給人，為自己製造不朽壞的錢囊，積蓄用不盡的財寶在天上，就是賊不能近、蟲不能蛀的地方。

他們在患難中受到極大的考驗的時候，他們滿溢的喜樂和極度的貧乏，匯流出豐厚的慷慨來。我可以作證，他們是按著能力，並且是超過了能力，自願地再三懇求我們，准許他們在供應聖徒的事上有分。他們超過了我們所期望的，照著神的旨意，先把自己獻給主，然後獻給我們。因此，我們勉勵提多，既然開始了這慈善的事，就應當在你們那裡把這事辦好。你們在一切事上，就如信心、口才、知識、熱情和愛我們的心，既然都是富足的，那麼，在這慈善的事上，也要顯出你們是富足的。我這樣說，不是吩咐你們，而是藉著別人的熱心來考驗你們的愛心是否真實。你們是知道我們的主耶穌基督的恩典的：他本來富足，卻為你們成了貧窮，要使你們因他的貧窮成為富足。

有求你的，就給他；想借貸的，也不可拒絕。

並且變賣產業和財物，按照各人的需要分給他們。
