見厥火炎炎、呼曰、誰能與大邑比儗乎、以塵埃蒙首、哀哭呼曰、大邑以厥珍寶、使操舟於海者富裕、頃刻間、已至貧乏、嗚呼哀哉、天歟、聖使徒及先知、可欣喜、以巴比倫罪爾、而上帝亦罪巴比倫故也、有能天使舉大石如磨、投於海、曰、巴比倫大邑、當猝然傾圮、不復得見、有如此石、鼓琴作樂、品簫吹角之音、不復聞於爾間、百工不復居於爾間、磨聲不再聞於爾間、燈光不復照於爾間、新娶者、與新婦之語、不復聞於爾間、爾商旅乃世上大夫、萬國以爾巫術迷惑、先知聖徒、與天下見殺者之血、於巴比倫見之、

彼所奉事之上帝、爾勿崇拜、彼所作為、爾毋則傚、當摧其偶、毀其像。
