當時我儕取其諸邑、以諸邑之民、男女以及嬰孩、盡行殲滅、一無所遺、

其審判惟真與公、已審判淫亂敗世之大淫婦、彼流天主僕人之血、今天主報之、為僕人伸冤、再曰、阿勒路亞、［焚］彼之煙上騰、永遠不熄、

爾所見之獸、與其十角、將憾淫婦、使之貧窮裸體、食其肉、焚之以火、

見焚彼之煙、呼曰、何邑能比此大邑乎、以塵埃蒙首、蒙首原文作撒於首號泣悲痛、呼曰、此大邑以其珍寶、使凡操舟於海者致富、頃刻間成為荒墟、哀哉、哀哉、天乎、諸聖徒及諸先知乎、爾曹當歡樂、因天主已報之為爾伸冤、○有一大力之天使、舉石大如磨磐者投於海、曰、巴比倫大邑、亦必如是猝然傾頹、不復得見、鼓琴、作樂、品簫、吹角之聲、不復聞於爾間、百工不復見於爾間、磨聲不復聞於爾間、燈光不復照於爾間、新娶者與新婦之聲、不復聞於爾間、爾之商賈、乃世之居尊位者、萬國皆以爾巫術而迷惑、諸先知與聖徒及天下一切見殺者之血、皆見於此邑中、

毋跪拜崇事其神、不可效其所為、必盡滅之、悉毀其偶像、
