Instead, turn to the place the LORD your God chooses from all your tribes to put his name for his dwelling and go there.

But you are to seek the place the Lord your God will choose from among all your tribes to put his Name there for his dwelling. To that place you must go;

Instead, go to the special place he will choose from among all your tribes. He will put his Name there. That’s where you must go.

But you shall seek the place that the Lord your God will choose out of all your tribes to put his name and make his habitation there. There you shall go,

Rather, you must seek the Lord your God at the place of worship he himself will choose from among all the tribes— the place where his name will be honored.

But you shall seek the Lord at the place which the Lord your God will choose from all your tribes, to establish His name there for His dwelling, and you shall come there.

“ But you shall seek the place where the Lord your God chooses, out of all your tribes, to put His name for His dwelling place; and there you shall go.

But unto the place which Jehovah your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come;

Instead, you must turn to the place Yahweh your God chooses from all your tribes to put His name for His dwelling and go there.

But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there,[ even] unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:

But you must seek only the place he chooses from all your tribes to establish his name as his place of residence, and you must go there.

But to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, you shall seek his habitation, and you shall come there.

then the LORD your God will choose the place to have his name dwell. Bring there everything I command you: your burnt offerings, sacrifices, offerings of the tenth, personal contributions, and all your choice offerings you vow to the LORD.

take some of the first of all the land’s produce that you harvest from the land the LORD your God is giving you and put it in a basket. Then go to the place where the LORD your God chooses to have his name dwell.

Sacrifice to the LORD your God a Passover animal from the herd or flock in the place where the LORD chooses to have his name dwell.

Then the LORD appeared to Solomon at night and said to him: I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple of sacrifice.

so that your eyes may watch over this temple night and day, toward the place where you said,“ My name will be there,” and so that you may hear the prayer that your servant prays toward this place.

This is what the LORD says: Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool. Where could you possibly build a house for me? And where would my resting place be?My hand made all these things, and so they all came into being. This is the LORD’s declaration. I will look favorably on this kind of person: one who is humble, submissive in spirit, and trembles at my word.

For the LORD has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his home:“ This is my resting place forever; I will make my home here because I have desired it.

He chose instead the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which he loved.

The LORD loves Zion’s city gates more than all the dwellings of Jacob.Glorious things are said about you, city of God. Selah

But will God indeed live on earth? Even heaven, the highest heaven, cannot contain you, much less this temple I have built.

For the entire fullness of God’s nature dwells bodily in Christ,

“ Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city to build a temple in among any of the tribes of Israel, so that my name would be there. But I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.”

The LORD has fulfilled what he promised. I have taken the place of my father David, and I sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised. I have built the temple for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.

built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.In him the whole building, being put together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.In him you are also being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.

Instead, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God( the heavenly Jerusalem), to myriads of angels, a festive gathering,

Be careful not to offer your burnt offerings in all the sacred places you see.

Now Rehoboam, Solomon’s son, reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he became king; he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city where the LORD had chosen from all the tribes of Israel to put his name. Rehoboam’s mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite.

Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews say that the place to worship is in Jerusalem.”Jesus told her,“ Believe me, woman, an hour is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.You Samaritans worship what you do not know. We worship what we do know, because salvation is from the Jews.

but the Most High does not dwell in sanctuaries made with hands, as the prophet says:Heaven is my throne, and the earth my footstool. What sort of house will you build for me? says the Lord, or what will be my resting place?Did not my hand make all these things?

When Moses entered the tent of meeting to speak with the LORD, he heard the voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim. He spoke to him that way.

The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

Then David said,“ This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

I will meet with you there above the mercy seat, between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the testimony; I will speak with you from there about all that I command you regarding the Israelites.

The entire Israelite community assembled at Shiloh and set up the tent of meeting there. The land had been subdued before them,

Then I looked, and there was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him were 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.

On that day he made them woodcutters and water carriers— as they are today— for the community and for the LORD’s altar at the place he would choose.
