爾所驅之民、服事其上帝、無論高山之巔、茂林之下、爾必廢其處、

爾將驅逐列國之人、凡彼等事其神之處、無論高山上、崗上、諸茂樹下、俱當毀壞、

Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains, on the hills and under every spreading tree, where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods.

You will soon drive the nations out of it. Completely destroy all the places where they worship their gods. Destroy them on the high mountains, on the hills and under every green tree.

并在丘坛上、山冈上、各青翠树下献祭烧香。

你们却要这样处置他们：拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的柱像，砍断他们的亚舍拉，用火焚烧他们雕刻的偶像。

你们要用火焚烧他们神明的雕刻偶像；不可贪爱偶像上的金银，也不可私自收起来，免得你因此陷入圈套，因为这是耶和华—你神所憎恶的。你不可把可憎之物带进你的家，否则，你就像它一样成为当毁灭的。你要彻底憎恨它，极其厌恶它，因为这是当毁灭的。”

约西亚王在位的时候，耶和华对我说：“你看见背道的以色列所做的吗？她上到各高山，在各青翠的树下行淫。

在各高冈上、各青翠树下立柱像和亚舍拉；在各丘坛上烧香，效法耶和华在他们面前赶出的外邦人所行的，又行恶事，惹耶和华发怒。

你要谨慎，不可与你所要去那地的居民立约，免得他们成为你中间的圈套。你要拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的柱像，砍断他们的亚舍拉。不可敬拜别神，因为耶和华是忌邪的神，他的名是忌邪者。你不可与那地的居民立约，因为他们随从自己的神明行淫；祭他们神明的时候，有人邀请你参加，你就会吃他的祭物。你为你儿子娶他们的女儿为妻，他们的女儿因着随从她们的神明行淫，就引诱你的儿子也随从她们的神明行淫。“不可为自己铸造神像。

“你要吩咐以色列人说：你们过约旦河进迦南地的时候，要从你们面前赶出那地所有的居民，摧毁他们一切的石像和铸成的偶像，也要拆毁他们一切的丘坛。

我领他们到我起誓应许赐给他们的地，他们看见各高冈、各茂密的树，就在那里献祭，献上惹我发怒的供物，也在那里焚烧馨香的祭，献浇酒祭。我就对他们说：你们去的那丘坛叫什么呢？它名叫巴麻，直到今日。

从前以色列王所罗门在耶路撒冷东边、邪僻山南边为西顿人可憎的亚斯她录、摩押人可憎的基抹、亚扪人可憎的米勒公所筑的丘坛，王都玷污了，

在各山顶献祭，在各高冈上烧香，在橡树、杨树、大树之下，因为那里树影美好。所以，你们的女儿行淫，你们的媳妇犯奸淫。

你不可跪拜事奉他们的神明，也不可随从他们的习俗，却要彻底废除，完全打碎他们的柱像。

到了早晨，巴勒领巴兰到巴末‧巴力，从那里可以看到一部分以色列的百姓。

你们不可与这地的居民立约，要拆毁他们的祭坛。’你们竟没有听从我的话。你们为何这样做呢！
