Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains, on the hills and under every spreading tree, where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods.

You will soon drive the nations out of it. Completely destroy all the places where they worship their gods. Destroy them on the high mountains, on the hills and under every green tree.

他們的神的雕像、你們要用火去燒；那上頭的金銀、你不可貪愛，也不可取為己有，免得你因此而陷入網羅；這原是永恆主你的上帝所厭惡的。可憎惡的東西你不可帶進家裏，以免使你成了該被毁滅歸神的、像那東西一樣；你要絕對憎它，非常厭惡它，因為那是該被毁滅歸神的。

當約西亞王執政的日子，永恆主對我說：『轉離正道的以色列所行的，你看見了沒有？她怎樣上了各高山，到了各茂盛樹下，在那裏行淫。

又在各高岡上、各茂盛樹下、立了崇拜柱子和亞舍拉神木；就在那裏在邱壇上燻祭，正像永恆主從他們面前所擄走的外國人所行的一樣；他們又行壞事來惹永恆主發怒；

你要小心、不可和你所去到的那地的居民立約，恐怕那會餌誘你入於網羅。他們的祭壇你們要拆毁，他們的崇拜柱子你們要打碎，他們的亞舍拉神木、你們要砍下來，（不可拜別的神，因為那名為忌邪者永恆主是忌邪的上帝），恐怕你和那地的居民立約，眾民就變節去服事他們的神，獻祭給他們的神，若有人請你，你便喫他的祭物，恐怕你給你的兒子娶他們的女兒為妻，而兒子的女兒又變節去服事他們的神，便使你的子孫都變節去服事他們的神。『不可為自己造鑄像的神。

『你要告訴以色列人說：你們過約但河到迦南地的時候，就要把那地所有的居民從你們面前趕出去，毁壞他們一切的石頭鏨像，毁壞他們一切鑄成的像，又拆毁他們一切的邱壇；

因為我領他們到我舉手起誓要給他們的地，他們看見各高山各茂密樹，就在那裏宰獻他們的祭物，在那裏奉上惹我發怒的供物，在那裏燒上他們怡神之香氣，在那裏澆上他們的奠祭。（我問他們說：你們所去的那高處叫做甚麼？於是那高處的名字便叫做巴麻直到今日。）

從前以色列王所羅門在耶路撒冷東面毁滅山南邊、為西頓人可憎的神亞斯他錄、摩押人可憎的神基抹、亞捫人可厭惡的神米勒公、所建築的邱壇、王都使那些邱壇成了凡俗。

他們在各山頂獻祭物，在各岡陵上燻祭，在聖橡樹楊樹篤耨香樹之下獻祭燻祭，因為樹的影兒好；故此你們的女兒就行淫，你們的兒媳婦就犯了姦淫。

他們的神你不可敬拜，不可事奉，也不可按他們行為的樣子行，卻要把神像盡行翻毁，一概打碎他們的崇拜柱子。

到了早晨，巴勒領巴蘭上巴力的山丘；巴蘭就從那裏觀看以色列民的邊界。

你們呢、也不可和這地的居民立約；他們的祭壇你們要拆毁。」你們竟沒有聽我的話；為甚麼你們這樣行呢？
