“ Therefore, be careful to obey every command I am giving you today, so you may have strength to go in and take over the land you are about to enter.

故我今日所諭爾一切誡命、爾當遵守、如此可強盛、入而得所往欲得之地、

Observe therefore all the commands I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to go in and take over the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess,

So obey all the commands I’m giving you today. Then you will be strong enough to go in and take over the land. You will go across the Jordan River and take the land as your own.

“ You shall therefore keep the whole commandment that I command you today, that you may be strong, and go in and take possession of the land that you are going over to possess,

“ Keep every command I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to cross into and possess the land you are to inherit,

“ You shall therefore keep every commandment which I am commanding you today, so that you may be strong and go in and take possession of the land into which you are about to cross to possess it;

“ Therefore you shall keep every commandment which I command you today, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land which you cross over to possess,

Therefore shall ye keep all the commandment which I command thee this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go over to possess it;

“ Keep every command I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to cross into and possess the land you are to inherit,

Now pay attention to all the commandments I am giving you today, so that you may be strong enough to enter and possess the land where you are headed,

Therefore you shall keep the entire commandment which I command you today, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land that you go over to possess;

“ Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them.Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.

Each time he said,“ My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Then the Lord commissioned Joshua son of Nun with these words:“ Be strong and courageous, for you must bring the people of Israel into the land I swore to give them. I will be with you.”

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”Then Moses called for Joshua, and as all Israel watched, he said to him,“ Be strong and courageous! For you will lead these people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors he would give them. You are the one who will divide it among them as their grants of land.

“ Today the Lord your God has commanded you to obey all these decrees and regulations. So be careful to obey them wholeheartedly.You have declared today that the Lord is your God. And you have promised to walk in his ways, and to obey his decrees, commands, and regulations, and to do everything he tells you.The Lord has declared today that you are his people, his own special treasure, just as he promised, and that you must obey all his commands.And if you do, he will set you high above all the other nations he has made. Then you will receive praise, honor, and renown. You will be a nation that is holy to the Lord your God, just as he promised.”

“ And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul.And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.“ Look, the highest heavens and the earth and everything in it all belong to the Lord your God.Yet the Lord chose your ancestors as the objects of his love. And he chose you, their descendants, above all other nations, as is evident today.

If you do not serve the Lord your God with joy and enthusiasm for the abundant benefits you have received,

As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength.

“ Don’t be afraid,” he said,“ for you are very precious to God. Peace! Be encouraged! Be strong!” As he spoke these words to me, I suddenly felt stronger and said to him,“ Please speak to me, my lord, for you have strengthened me.”

We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy,

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

When you have eaten your fill, be sure to praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.“ But that is the time to be careful! Beware that in your plenty you do not forget the Lord your God and disobey his commands, regulations, and decrees that I am giving you today.

What can I offer the Lord for all he has done for me?I will lift up the cup of salvation and praise the Lord’s name for saving me.I will keep my promises to the Lord in the presence of all his people.The Lord cares deeply when his loved ones die.O Lord, I am your servant; yes, I am your servant, born into your household; you have freed me from my chains.
