So obey all the commands I’m giving you today. Then you will be strong enough to go in and take over the land. You will go across the Jordan River and take the land as your own.

故我今日所諭爾一切誡命、爾當遵守、如此可強盛、入而得所往欲得之地、

Observe therefore all the commands I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to go in and take over the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess,

“ You shall therefore keep the whole commandment that I command you today, that you may be strong, and go in and take possession of the land that you are going over to possess,

“ Therefore, be careful to obey every command I am giving you today, so you may have strength to go in and take over the land you are about to enter.

“ Keep every command I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to cross into and possess the land you are to inherit,

“ You shall therefore keep every commandment which I am commanding you today, so that you may be strong and go in and take possession of the land into which you are about to cross to possess it;

“ Therefore you shall keep every commandment which I command you today, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land which you cross over to possess,

Therefore shall ye keep all the commandment which I command thee this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go over to possess it;

“ Keep every command I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to cross into and possess the land you are to inherit,

Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it;

Now pay attention to all the commandments I am giving you today, so that you may be strong enough to enter and possess the land where you are headed,

Therefore you shall keep the entire commandment which I command you today, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land that you go over to possess;

Be strong and brave. You will lead these people. They will take the land as their very own. It is the land I promised to give their people of long ago.“ Be strong and very brave. Make sure you obey the whole law my servant Moses gave you. Do not turn away from it to the right or the left. Then you will have success everywhere you go.

Finally, let the Lord make you strong. Depend on his mighty power.

I pray that he will use his glorious riches to make you strong. May his Holy Spirit give you his power deep down inside you.

But he said to me,“ My grace is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” So I am very happy to brag about how weak I am. Then Christ’s power can rest on me.Because of how I suffered for Christ, I’m glad that I am weak. I am glad in hard times. I am glad when people say mean things about me. I am glad when things are difficult. And I am glad when people make me suffer. When I am weak, I am strong.

The Lord gave a command to Joshua, the son of Nun. He said,“ Be strong and brave. You will bring the Israelites into the land I promised them. I myself will be with you.”

I can do all this by the power of Christ. He gives me strength.

Be strong and brave. Don’t be afraid of them. Don’t be terrified because of them. The Lord your God will go with you. He will never leave you. He’ll never desert you.”Then Moses sent for Joshua. Moses spoke to him in front of all the Israelites. He said,“ Be strong and brave. You must go with these people. They are going into the land the Lord promised to give to their people of long ago. You must divide it up among them. They will each receive their share.

This day the Lord your God commands you to obey all these rules and laws. Be careful to obey them with all your heart and with all your soul.Today you have announced that the Lord is your God. You have said you would live exactly as he wants you to live. You have agreed to keep his rules, commands and laws. And you have said you would listen to him.Today the Lord has announced that you are his people. He has said that you are his special treasure. He promised that you would be. He has told you to keep all his commands.He has announced that he will make you famous. He’ll give you more praise and honor than all the other nations he has made. And he has said that you will be a holy nation. The Lord your God has set you apart for himself. That’s exactly what he promised to do.

And now, Israel, what is the Lord your God asking you to do? Honor him. Live exactly as he wants you to live. Love him. Serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.Obey the Lord’ s commands and rules. I’m giving them to you today for your own good.The heavens belong to the Lord your God. Even the highest heavens belong to him. He owns the earth and everything in it.But the Lord loved your people of long ago very much. You are their children. And he chose you above all the other nations. His love and his promise remain with you to this very day.

You didn’t serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness when times were good.

When I called out to you, you answered me. You made me strong and brave.

“ Do not be afraid,” he said.“ You are highly respected. May peace be with you! Be strong now. Be strong.” When he spoke to me, I became stronger. I said,“ Speak, my master. You have given me strength.”

We want you to be very strong, in keeping with his glorious power. We want you to be patient. We pray that you will never give up.

But those who trust in the Lord will receive new strength. They will fly as high as eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not grow weak.

When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God. Praise him for the good land he has given you.Make sure you don’t forget the Lord your God. Don’t fail to obey his commands, laws and rules. I’m giving them to you today.

The Lord has been so good to me! How can I ever pay him back?I will bring an offering of wine to the Lord and thank him for saving me. I will worship him.In front of all the Lord’ s people, I will do what I promised him.The Lord pays special attention when his faithful people die.Lord, I serve you. I serve you just as my mother did. You have set me free from the chains of my suffering.
