See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse—

『看哪，我今日把祝福與咒詛擺在你們面前。

今日我以祝與詛置於爾前、

今日我以純嘏咒詛、置於爾前。

今日我以福與禍、置於爾前、

Listen to me. I’m setting a blessing and a curse in front of you today.

“ See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse:

“ Look, today I am giving you the choice between a blessing and a curse!

“ Look, today I set before you a blessing and a curse:

“ See, I am placing before you today a blessing and a curse:

“ Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse:

Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse:

When all these blessings and curses I have set before you come on you and you take them to heart wherever the Lord your God disperses you among the nations,

For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written:“ Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”

See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction.For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them,I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may liveand that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written:“ Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
