爾當敬愛主爾之天主、恆守所諭爾當守者、遵其律例法度誡命、

Love the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always.

你們要全心、全意、全力愛你們的上帝耶和華。

「以色列人啊，你們的上帝耶和華對你們有何要求？無非要你們敬畏祂，遵行祂的旨意，愛祂，全心全意地事奉祂，

七天之內，你們必須日夜待在會幕門口，要遵守耶和華的吩咐，免得你們死亡。這是耶和華對我的吩咐。」

要把我們從仇敵手中拯救出來，使我們一生一世在聖潔和公義中坦然無懼地事奉祂。

「萬軍之耶和華說，『你若遵行我的道，謹守我的吩咐，便可以管理我的家，看守我的院宇。我必讓你在這些侍立的天使中間自由出入。

「以色列人啊，要聆聽我傳授給你們的律法，要切實遵行，以便你們可以存活，並進入你們祖先的上帝耶和華賜給你們的那片土地。

看啊，遵照我的上帝耶和華的吩咐，我把律例和典章傳授給你們，好讓你們在將要佔領的土地上遵守。

我今天吩咐你們要愛你們的上帝耶和華，遵行祂的旨意，遵守祂的誡命、律例和典章，以便你們可以存活，人口興旺，在你們將要佔領的土地上蒙祂賜福。但倘若你們心中偏離，不肯聽從，被引誘去祭拜、供奉別的神明，我今天警告你們，你們必定滅亡，在約旦河對岸——你們將要佔領的土地上無法長久。今天，我叫天地為你們作證，我已把生死禍福擺在你們面前。選擇生命吧，以便你們及子孫可以存活。要愛你們的上帝耶和華，聽從祂的話，倚靠祂，因為祂是你們的生命，祂必使你們長久住在祂起誓賜給你們祖先亞伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的土地上。」

我愛耶和華，因為祂垂聽了我的呼求和禱告。

「你們的上帝耶和華吩咐我教導你們以下的誡命、律例和典章，以便你們在將要佔領的土地上遵行。

我今天將祂的律例和誡命傳授給你們，你們要遵守，以便你們及子孫都蒙福，在你們上帝耶和華所賜的土地上得享長壽。」

祂這樣做是要使他們持守祂的命令，遵行祂的律法。你們要讚美耶和華！
