And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt.

So you also must love outsiders. Remember that you yourselves were outsiders in Egypt.

Love the sojourner, therefore, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

So you, too, must show love to foreigners, for you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt.

You are also to love the resident alien, since you were resident aliens in the land of Egypt.

So show your love for the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Love ye therefore the sojourner; for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

You also must love the foreigner, since you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.

So you must love the resident foreigner because you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.

“ You shall not wrong an alien or oppress him, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt.

“‘ If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native- born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

And if a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food,and one of you tells them,“ Go in peace. Be warmed and filled;” yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it?

He said to him,“ You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live.”But he, desiring to justify himself, asked Jesus,“ Who is my neighbor?”Jesus answered,“ A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead.By chance a certain priest was going down that way. When he saw him, he passed by on the other side.In the same way a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him, passed by on the other side.But a certain Samaritan, as he traveled, came where he was. When he saw him, he was moved with compassion,came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. He set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the host, and said to him,‘ Take care of him. Whatever you spend beyond that, I will repay you when I return.’Now which of these three do you think seemed to be a neighbor to him who fell among the robbers?”He said,“ He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him,“ Go and do likewise.”

But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.

Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?”

So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.
