So show your love for the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt.

So you also must love outsiders. Remember that you yourselves were outsiders in Egypt.

Love the sojourner, therefore, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

So you, too, must show love to foreigners, for you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt.

You are also to love the resident alien, since you were resident aliens in the land of Egypt.

Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Love ye therefore the sojourner; for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

“ You shall not oppress a stranger nor torment him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

‘ When a stranger resides with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.

But love your enemies and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil people.

If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food,and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?

And He said to him,“ You have answered correctly; do this and you will live.”But wanting to justify himself, he said to Jesus,“ And who is my neighbor?”Jesus replied and said,“ A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he encountered robbers, and they stripped him and beat him, and went away leaving him half dead.And by coincidence a priest was going down on that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.Likewise a Levite also, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.But a Samaritan who was on a journey came upon him; and when he saw him, he felt compassion,and came to him and bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them; and he put him on his own animal, and brought him to an inn and took care of him.On the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said,‘ Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I return, I will repay you.’Which of these three do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell into the robbers’ hands?”And he said,“ The one who showed compassion to him.” Then Jesus said to him,“ Go and do the same.”

But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him?Little children, let’s not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.

Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?”

So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
