Yet the Lord set his affection on your ancestors and loved them, and he chose you, their descendants, above all the nations— as it is today.

But the Lord loved your people of long ago very much. You are their children. And he chose you above all the other nations. His love and his promise remain with you to this very day.

Yet the Lord set his heart in love on your fathers and chose their offspring after them, you above all peoples, as you are this day.

Yet the Lord chose your ancestors as the objects of his love. And he chose you, their descendants, above all other nations, as is evident today.

Yet the LORD had his heart set on your ancestors and loved them. He chose their descendants after them— he chose you out of all the peoples, as it is today.

Yet the Lord set His affection on your fathers, to love them, and He chose their descendants after them, you over all the other peoples, as it is this day.

The Lord delighted only in your fathers, to love them; and He chose their descendants after them, you above all peoples, as it is this day.

Only Jehovah had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all peoples, as at this day.

Yet the Lord was devoted to your fathers and loved them. He chose their descendants after them— He chose you out of all the peoples, as it is today.

However, only to your ancestors did he show his loving favor, and he chose you, their descendants, from all peoples– as is apparent today.

For who is able to resist his will?”But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God?“ Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it,‘ Why did you make me like this?’”Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath— prepared for destruction?What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory— (niv)
