我居於山、四旬晝夜、與昔無異、耶和華復允我祈、不加殲滅於爾。

我又如昔居於山四十晝夜、斯時主又俯聽我、不忍滅爾、

Now I had stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights, as I did the first time, and the Lord listened to me at this time also. It was not his will to destroy you.

I had stayed on the mountain for 40 days and 40 nights, just as I did the first time. The Lord listened to me that time also. He didn’t want to destroy you.

“ I myself stayed on the mountain, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights, and the Lord listened to me that time also. The Lord was unwilling to destroy you.

“ As for me, I stayed on the mountain in the Lord’s presence for forty days and nights, as I had done the first time. And once again the Lord listened to my pleas and agreed not to destroy you.

“ I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights like the first time. The LORD also listened to me on this occasion; he agreed not to annihilate you.

“ I, moreover, stayed on the mountain for forty days and forty nights like the first time, and the Lord listened to me that time also; the Lord was not willing to destroy you.

“ As at the first time, I stayed in the mountain forty days and forty nights; the Lord also heard me at that time, and the Lord chose not to destroy you.

And I stayed in the mount, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights: and Jehovah hearkened unto me that time also; Jehovah would not destroy thee.

“ I stayed on the mountain 40 days and 40 nights like the first time. The Lord also listened to me on this occasion; He agreed not to annihilate you.

And I stayed in the mount, according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also,[ and] the LORD would not destroy thee.

As for me, I stayed at the mountain as I did the first time, forty days and nights. The LORD listened to me that time as well and decided not to destroy you.

I stayed on the mountain, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights; and Yahweh listened to me that time also. Yahweh would not destroy you.

I lay prostrate before the Lord those forty days and forty nights because the Lord had said he would destroy you. (niv)

Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant— the Ten Commandments. (niv)

Then once again I fell prostrate before the Lord for forty days and forty nights; I ate no bread and drank no water, because of all the sin you had committed, doing what was evil in the Lord’s sight and so arousing his anger.I feared the anger and wrath of the Lord, for he was angry enough with you to destroy you. But again the Lord listened to me. (niv)

And the Lord said to Moses,“ I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.” (niv)

“ He saved others,” they said,“ but he can’t save himself! He’s the king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. (niv)

Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights. (niv)

Then the Lord relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened. (niv)

The Lord replied to Moses,“ Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book.Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you. However, when the time comes for me to punish, I will punish them for their sin.” (niv)

At that time I pleaded with the Lord:“ Sovereign Lord, you have begun to show to your servant your greatness and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do the deeds and mighty works you do?Let me go over and see the good land beyond the Jordan— that fine hill country and Lebanon.”But because of you the Lord was angry with me and would not listen to me.“ That is enough,” the Lord said.“ Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.Go up to the top of Pisgah and look west and north and south and east. Look at the land with your own eyes, since you are not going to cross this Jordan. (niv)
