迦勒說：「誰能攻打基列‧西弗，奪取那城，我就把我女兒押撒嫁給他。」迦勒的弟弟基納斯的兒子俄陀聶奪取了那城，迦勒就把女兒押撒嫁給他。押撒來的時候，催促丈夫向她父親要一塊田。押撒一下驢，迦勒就對她說：「你要甚麼？」她對迦勒說：「求你賜我福分；你既然把尼革夫給了我，求你也給我水泉。」迦勒就把上泉和下泉都賜給她。
