And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.

你们在旷野所行的路上，也曾见耶和华你们的神抚养你们，如同人抚养儿子一般，直等你们来到这地方。’

又在曠野於爾所經之道至於斯地、主爾之天主保抱爾、如人之保抱赤子、為爾所見、

and in the wilderness. There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.”

You also saw how the Lord your God brought you through the desert. He carried you everywhere you went, just as a father carries his son. And now you have arrived here.”

and in the wilderness, where you have seen how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, all the way that you went until you came to this place.’

And you saw how the Lord your God cared for you all along the way as you traveled through the wilderness, just as a father cares for his child. Now he has brought you to this place.’

and in the desert, where you saw him carrying you along like a man carries his son. This he did everywhere you went until you came to this very place.”

and in the wilderness where you have seen how that Yahweh your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went, until you came to this place.”

Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne[ by me] from the belly, which are carried from the womb:And[ even] to[ your] old age I[ am] he; and[ even] to hoar hairs will I carry[ you]: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver[ you].

In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.

And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.

And Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? and wherefore have I not found favour in thy sight, that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me?Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing father beareth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?

Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and[ how] I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.

I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.

He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:[ So] the LORD alone did lead him, and[ there was] no strange god with him.

He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry[ them] in his bosom,[ and] shall gently lead those that are with young.

Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them.But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou[ art] a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.Yea, when they had made them a molten calf, and said, This[ is] thy God that brought thee up out of Egypt, and had wrought great provocations;Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go.Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness,[ so that] they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.Moreover thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan.Their children also multipliedst thou as the stars of heaven, and broughtest them into the land, concerning which thou hadst promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess[ it].

He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.[ The people] asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places[ like] a river.

In the daytime also he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire.He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave[ them] drink as[ out of] the great depths.He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness.And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust.Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?Therefore the LORD heard[ this], and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel;Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven,And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven.Man did eat angels’ food: he sent them meat to the full.He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven: and by his power he brought in the south wind.He rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea:And he let[ it] fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations.

And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which[ is] between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots,[ and] when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare[ that] which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what[ are] we, that ye murmur against us?And Moses said,[ This shall be], when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what[ are] we? your murmurings[ are] not against us, but against the LORD.And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before the LORD: for he hath heard your murmurings.And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I[ am] the LORD your God.And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness[ there lay] a small round thing,[ as] small as the hoar frost on the ground.And when the children of Israel saw[ it], they said one to another, It[ is] manna: for they wist not what it[ was]. And Moses said unto them, This[ is] the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.This[ is] the thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man,[ according to] the number of your persons; take ye every man for[ them] which[ are] in his tents.And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.

I am not able to bear all this people alone, because[ it is] too heavy for me.
