我將何往、我同儕使我喪膽、言斯土之民、較我修偉、城垣廣大鞏固、高可參天、且見亞衲族在彼、

我们上哪里去呢？我们的弟兄使我们的心消化，说那地的民比我们又大又高，城邑又广大又坚固，高得顶天，并且我们在那里看见亚衲族的人。’

我何往始可、或作我何能往我兄弟使我喪膽、言彼地之民、較我眾多、身軀雄偉、其城廣大鞏固、崇高接天、在彼又見亞衲族人、

Where can we go? Our brothers have made our hearts melt in fear. They say,‘ The people are stronger and taller than we are; the cities are large, with walls up to the sky. We even saw the Anakites there.’”

Where can we go? The men who checked out the land have made us afraid. They say,‘ The people are stronger and taller than we are. The cities are large. They have walls that reach up to the sky. We even saw the Anakites there.’ ”

Where are we going up? Our brothers have made our hearts melt, saying,“ The people are greater and taller than we. The cities are great and fortified up to heaven. And besides, we have seen the sons of the Anakim there.”’

Where can we go? Our brothers have demoralized us with their report. They tell us,“ The people of the land are taller and more powerful than we are, and their towns are large, with walls rising high into the sky! We even saw giants there— the descendants of Anak!”’

Where can we go? Our brothers have made us lose heart, saying: The people are larger and taller than we are; the cities are large, fortified to the heavens. We also saw the descendants of the Anakim there.’

Where can we go up? Our brothers have made our hearts melt, by saying,“ The people are bigger and taller than we; the cities are large and fortified up to heaven. And besides, we saw the sons of the Anakim there.” ’

Where can we go up? Our brethren have discouraged our hearts, saying,“ The people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and fortified up to heaven; moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there.”’

What is going to happen to us? Our brothers have drained away our courage by describing people who are more numerous and taller than we are, and great cities whose defenses appear to be as high as heaven itself! Moreover, they said they saw Anakites there.”

以色列歟、爾其聽之、爾今濟約但、據有其國、其民較爾強大、其邑宏廣、其垣參天、其民乃亞衲族、軀幹修偉、爾所識者、亦嘗聞語云、孰能敵亞衲族乎、

雖然、居民強悍、其邑廣大、俱有城垣、我見亞衲族於彼、亞瑪力族居南方、赫人、耶布斯人、亞摩利人居山地、迦南人瀕海與約但河居焉、迦勒於摩西前、慰安民曰、我儕能克其地、其往取之、偕行者曰、彼強於我、不可往攻、遂毀所窺之地、謂以色列族曰、我所窺之地、吞噬居民、我所見之人、軀幹修偉、在彼見偉人亞衲族、我自較之、形猶蟿蟲、彼之視我亦若是、

利乏裔以實比執銅戟、重三百舍客勒、且佩新刃、欲殺大衛、洗魯雅子亞比篩救之、擊殺非利士人、於是大衛僕從誓曰、嗣後爾勿復偕我出戰、恐滅以色列之燈光、○厥後、又與非利士人戰於歌伯、戶沙人西比該、殺利乏裔撒弗、又與非利士人戰於歌伯、伯利恆人雅雷俄珥金子伊勒哈難殺迦特人歌利亞、其槍之柯、大如織器之梁、又戰於迦特、有利乏裔一人、軀幹修偉、手足各有六指、共二十有四、其人侮以色列時、大衛兄示米亞子約拿單殺之、此四人、皆利乏裔、生於迦特、死於大衛及其臣僕之手、

遵摩西命、以希伯崙予迦勒、遂逐亞衲三子、

亞衲族於以色列地、靡有孑遺、惟於迦薩、迦特、亞實突有之、

迦勒驅亞衲三子、示篩、亞希幔、撻買、

偕行兄弟使民喪膽、惟我專從我上帝耶和華、

以東侯伯悚惶、摩押英豪震慴、迦南居民銷鑠、

我儕聞而心怯、以爾之故、無不氣餒者、蓋爾上帝耶和華、乃上天下地之上帝也、

故眾手將弱、人心俱怯、

又曰、耶和華果以全地付我、斯土之民、盡為我而喪膽、

曰、耶和華以此地賜爾、我所知也、緣爾之故、吾儕畏懼、斯土之民喪膽、

如彼問爾何為太息、必曰、因聞音耗、其事將至、使眾心怯、手疲志餒、膝弱如水、其事將至、其言必成、主耶和華言之矣、○

族長又當告民曰、畏葸心怯者可歸、免使同儕亦喪膽、

又攻居希伯崙之迦南人、擊示篩、亞希幔、撻買、希伯崙昔名基列亞巴、
