以下也是智慧人的話語：在裁決時顧及人的情面是不好的。

但如果你們偏待人，就是犯罪，並被律法指證是違犯律法的人。

對人的懼怕，會成為陷阱；依靠耶和華的，安穩在高處。

不要因為貧弱者貧弱，就搶奪他，也不要在城門口壓迫困苦人；因為耶和華會為他們辯護，並要奪去那些搶奪者的性命。

他們派了自己的門徒們與希律黨的人一同去見耶穌，說：「老師，我們知道你是真誠的，並且按真理教導神的道。你不顧忌任何人，因為你不看人的情面。

你們既然稱不偏待人、只按每個人的行為施行審判的那一位為父，就應當懷著敬畏的心，過你們寄居的日子，

你們當為貧弱者和孤兒伸冤，為困苦人和貧窮人施行公義；當挽救貧弱者和貧窮人，解救他們脫離惡人的手！

於是彼得就開口說：「我現在真的了解神是不偏待人的，原來在各民族中，那敬畏神而行義的人，都是神所悅納的。

但耶和華對撒母耳說：「不要看他的容貌和他的高大身材，其實我已經厭棄了他。因為我所看的不像人所看的；人是看眼所見的，耶和華是看內心。」

那些人來對耶穌說：「老師，我們知道你是真誠的。你不顧忌任何人，因為你不看人的情面，而是按真理教導神的道。請問，向凱撒納稅，可以不可以呢？我們該交還是不該交呢？」

那些奸細問耶穌，說：「老師，我們知道你所說所教導的都是對的，你也不顧人的情面，而是按真理教導神的道。

看哪，你們可以在耶和華和他的受膏者面前指控我：我奪取過誰的牛，奪取過誰的驢子？我欺壓過誰，壓迫過誰？又從誰的手中收取過賄賂，以致我的眼睛被蒙住了？如果是這樣，我必歸還你們。」他們說：「你沒有欺壓過我們，沒有壓迫過我們，也沒有從任何人手中收取過什麼。」

我的弟兄們，你們應當持守對我們榮耀的主耶穌基督的信仰，不要懷著偏待人的心。如果有一個戴著金戒指、穿著華麗衣服的人進了你們的會堂，又有一個穿著骯髒衣服的窮人也進來了，你們卻看重那穿華麗衣服的人，對他說「請你坐在這好位子上」，而對那窮人說「你站在那裡」，或說「坐在我的腳凳下邊」；難道你們中間不就有了歧視，而你們也成了心懷惡念的審判官嗎？我親愛的弟兄們，請聽！神難道不是揀選了世上的那些貧窮人，使他們在信仰上富有，並且做他國度的繼承人嗎？這國度是他應許給愛他之人的。

要知道，那行不義的，將要照著他所行的不義來領受回報；主是不偏待人的。

要知道，神是不偏待人的。

你們做主人的，對奴僕也要這樣做，不要威嚇他們，因為你們知道，他們和你們同樣有一位主人在天上，而且他是不偏待人的。

確實我們都會死去，如同潑在地上的水不能收回，但神不是要取人性命，而是要想出方法不讓流亡者一直被驅逐而遠離他。

相反，我們怎樣被神考驗而受了福音的委託，我們就照樣傳講；不是要討人的喜悅，而是要討神的喜悅——神是考驗我們內心的。
