I commanded your judges at that time: Hear the cases between your brothers, and judge rightly between a man and his brother or a foreign resident.

“当时，我嘱咐你们的审判官说：‘你们听讼，无论是弟兄彼此争讼，是与同居的外人争讼，都要按公义判断。

我吩咐这些官员要聆听案件，公正地审理同胞之间或与外族人之间的诉讼，

我命士師云、聽訟於宗族賓旅間、以正理為折中、

And I charged your judges at that time,“ Hear the disputes between your people and judge fairly, whether the case is between two Israelites or between an Israelite and a foreigner residing among you.

Here is what I commanded your judges at that time. I said,“ Listen to your people’s cases when they argue with one another. Judge them fairly. It doesn’t matter whether the case is between two Israelites or between an Israelite and an outsider living among you.

And I charged your judges at that time,‘ Hear the cases between your brothers, and judge righteously between a man and his brother or the alien who is with him.

“ At that time I instructed the judges,‘ You must hear the cases of your fellow Israelites and the foreigners living among you. Be perfectly fair in your decisions

“ Then I ordered your judges at that time, saying,‘ Hear the cases between your fellow countrymen and judge righteously between a person and his fellow countryman, or the stranger who is with him.

“ Then I commanded your judges at that time, saying,‘ Hear the cases between your brethren, and judge righteously between a man and his brother or the stranger who is with him.

And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between a man and his brother, and the sojourner that is with him.

And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear[ the causes] between your brethren, and judge righteously between[ every] man and his brother, and the stranger[ that is] with him.

I furthermore admonished your judges at that time that they should pay attention to issues among your fellow citizens and judge fairly, whether between one citizen and another or a citizen and a resident foreigner.

I commanded your judges at that time, saying,“ Hear cases between your brothers and judge righteously between a man and his brother, and the foreigner who is living with him.

Stop judging according to outward appearances; rather judge according to righteous judgment.”

You are to have the same law for the foreign resident and the native, because I am Yahweh your God.”

“ Appoint judges and officials for your tribes in all your towns the Lord your God is giving you. They are to judge the people with righteous judgment.Do not deny justice or show partiality to anyone. Do not accept a bribe, for it blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.

Stay far away from a false accusation. Do not kill the innocent and the just, because I will not justify the guilty.You must not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and corrupts the words of the righteous.You must not oppress a foreign resident; you yourselves know how it feels to be a foreigner because you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.

He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner, giving him food and clothing.You also must love the foreigner, since you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.

I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels to observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing out of favoritism.

Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be arrogant or to set their hope on the uncertainty of wealth, but on God, who richly provides us with all things to enjoy.

Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole community, and commission him in their sight.

The Lord said to Moses,“ The time of your death is now approaching. Call Joshua and present yourselves at the tent of meeting so that I may commission him.” When Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves at the tent of meeting,

Do you really speak righteously, you mighty ones? Do you judge people fairly?

“ Do not oppress a hired hand who is poor and needy, whether one of your brothers or one of the foreigners residing within a town in your land.

“ You must not follow a crowd in wrongdoing. Do not testify in a lawsuit and go along with a crowd to pervert justice.Do not show favoritism to a poor person in his lawsuit.

Then he said to the judges,“ Consider what you are doing, for you do not judge for man, but for the Lord, who is with you in the matter of judgment.And now, may the terror of the Lord be on you. Watch what you do, for there is no injustice or partiality or taking bribes with the Lord our God.”Jehoshaphat also appointed in Jerusalem some of the Levites and priests and some of the heads of the Israelite families for deciding the Lord’s will and for settling disputes of the residents of Jerusalem.He commanded them, saying,“ In the fear of the Lord, with integrity, and with a whole heart, you are to do the following:for every dispute that comes to you from your brothers who dwell in their cities— whether it regards differences of bloodguilt, law, commandment, statutes, or judgments— you are to warn them, so they will not incur guilt before the Lord and wrath will not come on you and your brothers. Do this, and you will not incur guilt.

“ You must not act unjustly when deciding a case. Do not be partial to the poor or give preference to the rich; judge your neighbor fairly.

“ You must not exploit a foreign resident or oppress him, since you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.

The God of Israel spoke; the Rock of Israel said to me,“ The one who rules the people with justice, who rules in the fear of God,

On that day Moses commanded the people,

As you know, like a father with his own children,
