“ Do you see all these great buildings?” replied Jesus.“ Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”

but with an overwhelming flood he will make an end of Nineveh; he will pursue his foes into the realm of darkness.

Jesus replied,“ To be sure, Elijah does come first, and restores all things. Why then is it written that the Son of Man must suffer much and be rejected?

Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?”

The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”

“ Do you see all these things?” he asked.“ Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”

His sons will prepare for war and assemble a great army, which will sweep on like an irresistible flood and carry the battle as far as his fortress.

My mouth is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death.

He told them,“ This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,

Then the Lord said,“ Call him Lo- Ammi( which means“ not my people”), for you are not my people, and I am not your God.

“ Who is this that rises like the Nile, like rivers of surging waters?

And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.The crowd spoke up,“ We have heard from the Law that the Messiah will remain forever, so how can you say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this‘ Son of Man’?”

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

“ The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.

I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me,

They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.All these are the beginning of birth pains.“ Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

“ Will not the land tremble for this, and all who live in it mourn? The whole land will rise like the Nile; it will be stirred up and then sink like the river of Egypt.

He will confirm a covenant with many for one‘ seven.’ In the middle of the‘ seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.”

Look, your house is left to you desolate.

The Lord, the Lord Almighty— he touches the earth and it melts, and all who live in it mourn; the whole land rises like the Nile, then sinks like the river of Egypt;

To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

He will determine to come with the might of his entire kingdom and will make an alliance with the king of the South. And he will give him a daughter in marriage in order to overthrow the kingdom, but his plans will not succeed or help him.

“ As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down.”

therefore the Lord is about to bring against them the mighty floodwaters of the Euphrates— the king of Assyria with all his pomp. It will overflow all its channels, run over all its banks

They produced false witnesses, who testified,“ This fellow never stops speaking against this holy place and against the law.For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs Moses handed down to us.”

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written:“ Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”

“ He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness;“ by his wounds you have been healed.”

He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation,and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one.
