時日將至、聞其預言、讀其紀載、而守之者、必蒙福祉、○

有此一聞、而先知之語、更為明徵、譬光燭暗、爾當從之、迨日始旦、明星照爾心、爾當知經預言、非人所能也、以古預言、原非臆說、乃上帝聖人、感於聖神而言之、

昔先知預言爾所沾之恩、探索救道、夷考基督之神、牖先知衷、預明基督何時遘艱苦、何時受榮光、先知既得默示、言其傳道、非獨為己、乃為我儕、今蒙天降聖神、使宣福音、以傳斯道與爾、天使亦欲詳察斯道、

爾自幼識聖經、因而有智、信基督耶穌得救、諸經本上帝所默示、有益於教誨、督責、正己、學義、俾事上帝之人、無不練達、百善悉備、

故緣爾故、人將耕郇邑之地、盡成田疇、耶路撒冷悉變瓦礫、斯殿之山將為林藪。

上帝兮、異邦人侵爾畿輔、辱爾聖殿、毀耶路撒冷兮、臣僕之尸、飛鳥食之、敬虔者之肉、野獸噬之兮、

我但以理目睹異象、深求其義、有立我前者、其貌若人、聞鳥來河濱、有聲呼云、加伯列、當以異象之意、明示斯人、

當猶大王希西家之時、摩哩沙人米迦為先知、告猶大庶民曰、萬有之主耶和華曰、人將耕郇邑之地、有若田疇、耶路撒冷將變為瓦礫、斯殿之山、將為林藪。

維昔郇邑、居民眾多、今則不勝寂寞兮、昔為大國、今若嫠婦兮、昔也列邦為彼所制、今則為人供役、能勿悲兮。

毀其城垣、鍵其宅第、無人得入、歡樂變為憂戚、通衢之民號呼、欲飲酒以消愁、城中荒蕪、邑門被毀、

則我必棄此殿宇、與昔棄示羅無異、使此邑為列邦所詛。

宦者謂腓力曰、先知言此、何所指、己乎人乎、請以教我、

我恆思爾法、故較師傅、尤通達兮、我恪守爾道、故較老成、尤明晰兮、

爾觀先知但以理所言、指殘賊可惡之物、立於聖地、讀者宜致思焉、

至耶路撒冷及猶大諸邑、與厥王公、使彼喪亡、見之者無不駭愕、怨聲咒詛、今日之事為徵。

在猶大諸邑、耶路撒冷逵衢、不聞懽忭之聲、新娶者及新婦之音、遍地荒蕪、我使之然。

聖邑荒涼、郇城蕪沒、耶路撒冷傾圮。

專務誦讀、勸勉教誨、以迨我至、

爾之法、吾所師而悅懌兮。○

我曰主歟、將至何時、曰、迨乎城垣傾圮、土地荒蕪、室廬寂寞、無人居之、斯土之民、我耶和華必徙諸遠邦、故土蕭條、

爾觀先知但以理所言、指殘賊可惡之物、立不當立之地、讀者宜致思焉、時、在猶太者、當避於山、

列國之人必服事之、爰及子孫、屆滅國之期而後已、厥後邦國眾多、列王顯赫、必使巴比倫王供其服役。

今在聖所、敵加毀損、閱時已久、請爾垂顧兮、爾之寇讎、在於聖會、呼號靡已、爰立旌旗、以為記誌兮、彼舉斧斤、遍伐林木、以此自誇兮、更以刀鋸盡毀雕琢之器兮、火焚聖所、加以污衊、俾成邱墟兮。
